Never Run out ot Gas Again

Every once in awhile that comes up... It might get you a few extra miles, But only if you don't completely run out of gas.. What it does' it will mix with what gas you have left in your tank.... That stuff was a big seller in 1973 during the fuel embargos.. And tests in a car with a dry tank, and a full gallon of the stuff would only get you maybe 5 miles of choppy miles and very hard starting unless it was mixed with some gasoline..

$60.00 a gal is rather expensive gasoline. I think I'll just watch the gas gauge then I'll turn on the pump and pump in a fresh tank from the aux tank.

Why not just carry an extra gal of gas and use and replace it once a month to keep it fresh? I used to do it all the time when on 2 wheels and was going into remote areas where there was a chance of not being able to get gas.

I've ridden in 46 states and never been in a place where I would have run out of gas as long as I watched my gauge and read my map. (Although central Nevada was close). I wouldn't want to trust this stuff in my engine. Just IMHO.

One thing foe sure, At 60$ a gallon... You'll be very careful ''NOT'' to run out of gas and use that stuff..
And then have to spend 60$ to replace it .....

A couple of years ago Meredog (triketalk member) loaned me 2 small bottles of fuel he carried for emergencies as I was out and 22 miles from the nearest station as per my GPS. When I got home I went to the Coleman camping store and bought myself 2 FUEL BOTTLES.
Thanks MEREDOG as you saved my tail that day and has given me piece of mind. Now when ever I'm running low on fuel I think of you and the 2 fuel bottles in my trunk.

When I had my Sportster with a small gas tank, I always carried two fuel bottles [Aluminum] along for the ride.. Great piece of mind.. ThumbUp

1. Know how much gas you have.
2. Know how far you can go on the gas you have.
3. Know how far it is to the next gas station.
4. If #2 is less than #3, TURN AROUND AND GAS UP.

By Awelowynt on May 17, 2014
I'm sitting on the side of the road right now as I write this on my phone.

I got a little preoccupied and forgot to fill up after I got off work. My car started to lose power, so I pulled to the side, grabbed the bottle out of the tank and emptied it into the tank. I will say the funnel was clever and worked quite well (+1 star for packaging).

Unfortunatly, the product doesn't work. (-5 stars)

It says to use while the engine is warm. Well, There was about a one minute delay between engine off and trying to start and I can't get it to go. The engine turns over once or twice and then dies.

I recommend spending money on AAA instead.

Edit - Thankfully I made it home just fine. My sister came to my rescue with a can of actual gasoline about 30 minutes after I ran out of gas. My car started right up, so there was no adverse effect on my engine that I'm aware of.

20 of 25 people found the following review helpfuldefective container seal
By Amazon Customer on June 1, 2014
I got an order of two half-gallon directly from their website.

I haven't used it yet, luckily. I trust that it will work based on their claims.

I am giving it only 2 stars, because the seal of the container is defective. It seems to me the emergency fuel is corrosive to the glue of the seal, which is a manufacturing issue. I called the number listed on the container (emails with no reply), I was told by Eric that a replacement would be shipped out to me the next week. Guess what? its been more than a month now, and still nothing in the mail.

I wrapped the container in 12 plastic bags, and I think it cuts down the odor by 99%. I'm leaving it in the car, otherwise, this is useless to me.

I do not recommend it, unless they are able to fix the container seal problem.

3 of 4 people found the following review helpfulNo smell with New container
By B. Jason on November 25, 2014
I got two half gal containers of Magic Tank and the smell was very strong. I put it in SIX ziplock bags and still couldn't keep it in my car. BUT... I emailed customer service and "Steve" responded pretty quickly and said the seals might be broken. He sent new containers and the smell was almost nonexistent :) My review goes from ONE star to FOUR stars for that. I haven't used the product in an emergency yet, but will update this review if I do. Very happy with the response and the new containers.

By Ruth Adomeit on May 17, 2014
Verified Purchase Just received this product. I am not sure if I can put it in my vehicle.
The smell is over powering taking it out of the box it came in.
I have a van no trunk so the smell would be in the same compartment as I am. Magic tank is in
the garage , fed x delivered it today. the fumes it gives off makes it hurt to breath.

Never ran out of gas. I can get about 200 miles to a tank. If I run out it would have to be because I didn't stop when I had a chance. Never really worried about it. JMHO
