Mrs Notgrownup and I are leaving in the morning, traveling from Eastern NC up to Mackinaw City, then west and down through Wisconsin then towards Paducah then east to Somerset KY . We plan on going east in the Hills of KY and the Daniel Boone forest. Denting up in Appalachia then back home. We really don’t have any plans , just ride until we get tired, get a hotel and have a drink maybe and dinner then Rinse n repeat… I will post some pictures…IMG_5144.jpegIMG_5145.jpeg

Good trip to you and wife. Weather in the Badger should be good for ya. We haven't had rain in many days. Temps are warm.

When you get to the U.P. be sure to have a Pastie. There is a place in Mackinaw you can get them, good stuff. There is also a H.D. dealer there, good t-shirt stop!

Just a suggestion, the light house at white fish point is really good, we spent 4 or 5 hours there. There is also a fish house real close to white fish point that is great, the fish they serve for lunch were caught that morning, fantastic! Actually, we were in Mackinaw for about 3 days, loved it. We're ready to go back next summer!

We’re already down in southern Wisconsin. This is a ride. We aren’t really visiting much. Today we will ride to around Bowling Green KY, tomorrOw the Daniel Boone forest, then Saturday ride home.

My trips were like that, but I've changed a bit. Each to their own. When I'm by myself I pretty much ride but when my wife is with me we do a lot of stopping and just fiddle fartin around. It's fun either way!

2929 miles 11 states, The bike scared me one time where my speedometer and gear indicator quit working and my check engine light came on. I stopped at the next fuel stopped and cleared all the codes and nothing for the rest of the trip. 31.5 mpg average pulling a trailer is pretty good I think. My little converted HF trailer performed flawlessly. The Ultimate seat was great, I started the trip with a Airhawk and took it off after a while and lo and behold, it was more comfortable.
The Pro Action shocks performed great but it’s hard to miss some of the bridge uneven joints and frost heaves. The best roads we encountered were in KY,VA & NC. We have the best in our mountains hands down.

Looks like a great trip Maurice. When you start planning that Key West run let me know. We used to ride down in the glades area a lot and there are some places you will want to go through.
