You look happy! Congratulations <img src="images/smilies/grin.gif" border="0" alt="" title="big grin" class="inlineimg" />

I call mine a "Wingsmith" and have been piling on the miles! One thing to check on every once in a while is the trunk hinges - I have had the pins fall out of each, though not at the same time, thank goodness. Roadsmigh will replace them. I found the better solution was to cut an appropriate length of Romex (I used the white wire), thread it through and curl the ends over the hinge. Almost invisible and it won't fall out!

Good tip! ThumbUp I'll check mine now that you've mentioned this, lol. :)

At a coffee stop a couple of months ago I saw a Wing with a cracked headlight lens (nothing to do with Roadsmith) and asked the owner how that happened. He said the tread came off an 18 wheeler and smacked it and it was just too darn expensive to replace right then. I have a set of heavy plastic, crystal-clear lens covers made for the GL1800 that attach by several industrial velcro dots, and when attached asre not noticeable. These won't come off even in the tornado-force winds of South Dakota. I KNOW!

Rich - I bought them from my Roadsmith installer, $55, if I remember correctly. I'll bet a Google search for "GL1800 Headlight Lens Cover" would produce a seller. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll ask my guy.

Thanks for the reply. I was able to find them on WingStuff! ThumbUp

Great, Rich! Now I have a question for you: Our Roadsmiths lack a trunk handle and the Trikeshop website does not show one under optional accessories. If you know of any please let me know.

Konrad,

The only trunk handle I ever saw for our Roadsmith's was the one in those photos I posted with the additional LED Trunk Spoiler from Tony's Trikes. I'm sure if you call him (256-828-6565) he'll give you all of the information and offer to sell you one. I'm also going to look into it after I have the new spoiler installed. One purchase at a time, lol!

I sent Tony an email requestiing pricing. Like you I am pretty avid about my WingSmith. Avid, heck - obsessed is a better description!
