I have a 2010 FLHXXX. Has anyone installed the Gloss Black Mustache Engine Guard?

Online it is listed under the 2010 street glide trike, but, then it states that it doesnt fit the trike.(Gloss Black)

Under the Chrome Mustache Engine Guard, it doesnt exclude the trike.

I do not have the faring lowers.

I've asked a couple parts guys at Harley dealerships and have been given conflicting information. :gah:

If you are talking about the Linby crash bars, I've got them on my Trike. I took off the lower fairings and installed the Linby bars. Took a little 'tweaking', the top tab is welded on at an odd angle. Drilled the hole a bit larger, and 'adjusted the angle of the tab and they fit. I did this because I live in California and didn't need the protection of the lower fairings, and the Linby's offer a comfortable leg position. I also put on the extended shifter and break pedal. Kind of a lousy picture, but that is all I have now.

Oh, these are the 'cheapie' Linby's. I was more interested in leg comfort when I bought them for my E-Glide than bling.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering about the Linby bars. I am trying to get my calves away from the exhaust heat, and at the same time keep the bikes profile.

Welcome aboard. I bet they will fit with some adapting but do not have firsthand experience.

I also have a 2010 FLHXXX and wanted the Mustache EG and was told uhuh

So I went with...these #'s are for chrome however black is available so just cross reference:
49184-09 Engine Guard + 2 bolts req'd
83865-09 Steering Damper Bracket + 1 bolt req'd
Then:
50832-07A Adj Hwy Peg mounting
50500-03 Large Footpeg

I couldn't be more pleased as the pegs give me a supplemental heel/toe rest or a total in the breeze footrest.

Sorry I don't have pics...but I like the look better now that they are installed opposed to the mustache and as mentioned they get my feet angled away from the heat.

Good luck with your search. :Biker:
