motor trike rearend gear oil

2005 motor trike had left axle seal start leaking so I had to pull axle and replace seal. put everything back to gather and added 2 liters of 80-90 oil. and tried to check oil level by inserting my finger in hole, I could not fill the oil. So if anyone on this board has done this please let me know so I can get wifes trike on the road.

Looking at the MT service manual above, it shows a capacity of 3.3 pints of 75w-140 synthetic gear oil.

If the trike is broke in and you would like to improve your gas milagge a little bit use synthetic oil as it creates less drag, will last longer, and of course is environmentally friendly.
