So I was wasting a bit of time cruising the YouTube videos as is one of my habits. Stumbled upon a video from Road Glide Garage. Never heard nor watched any of his contributions but was intrigued by the title. Something like..Improve your H-D ride for $100.00. Now everyone knows that H-D stands for Hundred Dollars. So...having already cooked dinner and helped with the clean-up...I decided to watch the video. A Harley guy with a wife and 3 kids. Hates the ride quality (or lack thereof) on his Road Glide.
A friend...he may have more than one, your guess is a good as mine....suggested he try some Monroe Air Shocks. Even was specific as to which model. MA785. Fits 63-82 Chevrolet Corvettes. After some modifications to the shocks...he was able to mount them. Claims his bike has never ridden better. Loves them! And didn't cost him $800-1200. Heck..Amazon has them for $73 plus tax. I am not mechanically inclined to the point of tearing off the factory shocks on my 2019.
I am considering the options at DK Customs. But...the Convertible Custom Lift and Monroe???? Just thought I would throw this out for others to ponder...or perhaps chuckle. I know I can be easily persuaded by some videos....like the Dewalt Planer that currently sits on the stand I built for it. Yep..had to have a planer to help with the build of the Cargo Trailer/Camper/Toy Hauler I completed a couple of years ago. Indeed...a total of 8 boards have been run through the planer. Not to worry...I have it covered in a very nice heavy duty cover. Hate for dust to accumulate on my nearly new planer. 8 boards.
Perhaps I should have titled this "Monty Python and The Search for the Holy Grail".
