It happened Sunday. I just could not stop fast enough to avoid hitting the PU in from of me.

31 stitches across the eyebrow and forehead. Hit the top of the windshield with my forehead.
The bike is at the shop and will be fixed.
What a bumber.

WOW you look like it hurts. Glad that you are not hurt worse. I hope that your trike will recover soon also. We all can learn from each others experiences. Sometimes our trikes don't stop as quick as we think they will. I caught myself several times following to close. This will help remind me. Thanks for sharing your crash and heal quickly.

Ouch! Were you wearing a helmet? Not sure it would have mattered or not just wondering. Glad you're going to be OK though.

No helmet. The way the windshield went under my forehead skin, a helmet may have caused more damage by severing the skin off. The laceration started at the nose.
Please don't take this as justification for not wearing a helmet, we normally always wear a helmet.
We just got lucky (blessed).

Glade to hear you are going to be OK! That's one way to "Knock the new off the trike".

You know....... put a patch over the one eye, a dagger in your mouth and you could get a job at Disney World.

Sad news - sorry about your injury and damage to your gorgeous trike!

If and when such unfortunate incidents come our way, we are always blessed if we can walk away and leave the insurance look after the rest!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery and a quality repair to your 1800 CSC!:GL1800:

You were able to walk away, the trike will be fixed. We can all be thankful that you are ok, and we can all learn from your misfortune. Take care and be take care.

Glad You're ok.....this type injury is why I wear Full Coverage Helmets...I've broken windshields completely off with my head/helmet, and even done face plants on the asphalt road, etc. with not so much as a facial bruise, cut or abrasion...and each time, the Helmet Company traded me a New One for the Old Rashed One for advertising purposes.....Hope You heal quickly, and You're back Triking again soon.....ThumbUp

That's why I wear a full face modular. That's my fear. Going thru the windshield. I would love to not wear it but I like my face the way it is. I don't wear the rest of the gear.

That looks painful. Glad it wasn't worse and you are on the mend and trike being fixed.
Here in my neck of the woods (E. Central Illinois) I ride a lot of rural highways and this time of year these roads are frequently used by local farmers. I've often wondered how well the sprayer arms are anchored as they transport them from field to field and hoped one didn't break loose when I was passing them. So far, so good.........

Looks nasty and will leave of reminder of how lucky you really are . Glad your okay and can walk away ,,thank your guardian angel . WISH YOU A QUICK RECOVERY

Thanks for all your encouragement. I am healing well. My wife has bruised ribs, most probably know how much that hurts.
My biggest issue is replaying the accident over and over in my mind. SOMEBODY... turn off the video.

"THIS" is always a normal...no matter how many times it happens...having raced/wrecked Race Cars, Karts, and Motorcycles for decades, I always re-played em' each time...a little ride time later usually cures this......Speedy Healing for You and Your Wife.....ThumbUp

Sometimes the guy in front stops to soon!!!..... Glad your Ok.... Cuts and bruises heal, But the memories hang on for years, Been there broke that....:AGGHH:

Question: Did your wife remain on the trike or did she fall off?

We both stayed on the trike. I was over the dash and she was in the front seat.
She saw me falling forward and reached out to grab me, then hit her ribs on the left handlebar.

wifes are good at saving us. mine has grabbed me once to save the day. got to love em

I don't know about that, I had rented a commercial wood chipper, And my wife wanted to take a picture of it with me standing next to the hopper, And all I could hear with the chipper running is her saying back up a little more......:xzqxz:
