I think this got posted to the wrong site. Someplace you were talking about the new CAN AM "Said that some guy was DEMO driving it all over the place . I ask if it was FRED

A highlight of my recent week in British Columbia with my mom was a couple of hours I spent with our member, trikectr/Ben Boudreau who happens to be the importer and distributor for Rewaco trikes in Canada. Ben, Jennifer (works in the store), and Dan (mechanic) were such a great group! The plan was for me to take one of the Rewaco trikes out for a good test drive in the beautiful BC countryside.

Yeah, right! I could touch the pedals, but not depress them :p. So much for being in control of the brake and clutch!!! LOL! Ben showed me there is an adaptor that can be applied to move them closer, the seat can be adapted to scoot me forward, and the handle bars rolled down to a more comfortable position for my arms. But there just wasn't time to do all of that on Friday afternoon, so we did the next best thing. I put on a helmet, climbed on the back with my camera in hand, and Ben took me out for an hour on back roads......... up twisties over a hilly area, along the Fraser River, a short jump on the freeway, then back onto country roads near Cultus Lake (I remember visiting there as a child!!!) and back to his shop.

In many ways, it was a better way for me to experience this amazing trike, as I didn't have to worry about driving, clutching and shifting differently than mine, etc. I could just relax and take it all in. I sure did have fun!

The Rewaco is built in Germany, and is a trike from the ground up -- not a kit. There is a lot of storage space, the seating is comfortable, the engine is powerful, the wheelbase is long and wide and the trike hugs the road in the twisties with a very similar feel to a sportscar for the rider, while the driver has the position and feel of riding a motorcycle as most of us do with a more traditional trike. The throttle is in the right handlebar grip, as usual. The right foot pedal controls the integrated front/rear brakes. The left pedal is the clutch, and the 5-speed plus reverse gears are shifted by hand (see the picture showing the gearshift on the tank right in front of the driver).
Ben feels certain the testing and approval of this beautiful machine by the American EPA will be completed soon, and we should expect to start seeing them for sale in the US in the next year or two.

Thank so much for the wonderful time, Ben!!!!

Nana: dont see anything in the Thumbnail.

Thumbnail pictures are still in a bit of a glitch with the program update, Ghalib. Tech people are working on that, and will hopefully have it all up and running in no time!

It was a real treat this weekend to meet another one of our wonderful members while we were riding the beautiful, winding roads of Southern Indiana..... caveman50. He invited us to stop by his workplace where he was working on his new trike, to be known as "Reaper". It's going to be a beauty with seats for two passengers and a Subaru engine.

caveman also showed us another one of his hobbies: wonderful wood carvings! And I brought one home with me to be proudly displayed on my wall!

Thanks for making us so welcome, Donny. It was wonderful to spend a little time with you!

Well one thing the timing belts will be easy to get to. Looks good and the Subaru is motor is gona make it fly. I would like to see the setup

Sorry we missed you all:( We where down in Tennessee riding the great roads down there.

I'm sorry we missed meeting you too, Bill. But we know where your restaurant is now. We'll look you up another time :).

Once again TrikeTalk people prove to be the nicest group on the planet!
Mike and I and our daughter and son-in-law met Gareth and Val (Gareth323) for dinner in the Orlando area today. Over delicious food we laughed and talked and cemented an already established forum friendship. Gareth is one of our UK members from Preston, England; and who knew we'd ever really get to meet in person! But here is proof..... and here is looking forward to more meetings with them in the future.

And talking about meeting other TT'ers & making friends, last week end we were up in the Las Vegas area & had the pleasure of meeting Nauga Mok & clearly his better half, Lil Pest for fun BBQ dinner. Kindda left a warm fuzzy feeling...no really...:D It's great to meet others from this fraternity & put a face to a name.

Another real treat today as we were able to spend some time visiting and laughing with Jake (the Wolf) who is in Ohio for a few days. And yes, he is just as much fun in person as he is to chat with on the forum! You all will love getting acquainted with him in June when he and his wife, Kathryn, join us at the rally in Maggie Valley all the way from Scotland!!!

Once again I've had a most delightful meeting with another TrikeTalk friend. CCrider -- Chuck and his wife Barbara -- met Mike and me for lunch today. What a great time chatting over a yummy pizza!

They are going to be in Maggie Valley for the rally weekend in June, so a bunch more of you will be able to get personally acquainted with them too.
Until then, here are a couple of pictures.... Chuck and Barbara, and one of Chuck and me.

Nana, we had a great time with you and Mike today. Good food, good friends always equals a good time. And for all you folks that have not met her,,,,,, she is just a sweet as she is cute.

Quit saying that about Nana it will go to her Head, but it is true

You are right Trikers are great people! Last year while camping at Geneva on the Lake in Ohio, several trikes with trailers camped there. I was in the dreaming stages of owning a trike and my 6 year old grandson and I walked over to pull away. Everyone waved to him and made him feel special, while I just continued to dream about a trike!

I just had the honor of meeting KWPUTT. He rode his big beautiful white goldwing trike right up my lane. I really enjoyed what little time he spent with us and am looking forward to his next visit. I wasnt smart enough to get a picture of the two of us together. Maybe next time.

Another beautiful (hot) day on the trike that included meeting another of my wonderful forum friends in person....... We left early this morning to meet up with some friends, then back down to Columbus for a visit and delicious lunch with our daughter and her family.

Then a ride south, winding and twisting through rolling southern Ohio hills on an adventure that ultimately had us arriving at CCRider's holler in the woods. (BTW...... You can't get there from here --- or from anywhere! I have no idea what roads we were on, and whoever heard of the little town of Nipgen, Ohio anyway???? ;)). Chuck and Barbara have a beautiful wooded property, and he took me on another adventure 4-wheeling on the trails he has cut through the woods. Great fun!

A few minutes after we arrived there, kwputt rode up the driveway on his beautiful white GW trike---Pictures with Keith below. What a wonderful visit with them all on the porch! The only disappointment was that Keith's wife was busy with a garage sale and couldn't come along with him, but I look forward to getting acquainted with her in Maggie Valley in 18 days!

When we left, they all rode along with us for a few miles through a state park before we peeled off and started back home, ending up with about 350 miles for the day.

We sure did enjoy having you guys stop by today. If you folks want to see more pics, just visit my photo albums and look for folder named NANA VISITS THE HOLLAR.
The only thing wrong with this visit, it was wayyyyyyyyyyy too short.
Ya'all come back ya'hear !

Nana, such great pictures!!! Everyone looks wonderful - and can't wait for 18 days to pass!! Glad y'all had such a good time today - you deserve every minute of fun!

I got to meet another TT family member today..... MarciaG :D. We made arrangements to meet up at Wendy's halfway between our homes for a chat, a snack, and to give her the T-shirt she had ordered. What a nice lady! But I'm not surprised, because TrikeTalk members are consistently proving to me that they are the nicest people on the planet! :10:
