Lower shock bushing - MotorTrike

When inspecting your suspension and bushing on a MotorTrike, be sure to check that the lower shock mount bushing(s) are not missing or badly cracked. If they need replaced, MotorTrike sells replacements bushings made of a newer material that should last longer. Replacing a bushing is fairly easy.

Many years ago when I was rehabbing Valkyries, a friends wife worked at a machine shop. She made me a dozen shock bushings out of PTFE plastic. Those things lasted forever.

If they have a metal bushing in the center, throw the bushing in the freezer for a few hours

This will shrink it and make it easy to install
