LOWER FENDER BRACKET BROKE on PROWLER RT (2016 kit)

My lower fender bracket broke near the weld at the bottom. I heard that Motor Trike has made a stronger replacement for the brace. I have been in touch with Leola Motor Trike and Ace Motorworks. I will wait for them to replace the brace or see if they will send the new version.

I just heard back from Leola Motor Trike's parts department. ( Mike ). They already spoke to MotorTrike about my problem. Supposedly MotorTrike has made a new and better bracket. The only minor problem is that it won't fit where the old one goes. Mike is waiting to see if they will send the new parts under warranty. The Prowler kit was installed in Sept. 2016 and the warranty is only good for 3 years or 60,000 miles.

Either way I do need the parts and Mike is trying to get that for me at no charge if possible. They would drop ship it to my house. If I can't do the work myself, I will take the bike to Ace Motorworks in New Jersey to do the work. They too are a MotorTrike dealer. Kudos to Mike and Leola Motor Trike.

Just heard back from Mike (Service Dept) Leola Motor Trikes and he spoke to Motor Trike Corp and they are sending me two new kits to replace the old broken lower fender brackets at NO CHARGE. That is what I call SUPER SERVICE. Thanks to Mike, Leola Motor Trikes and Motor Trike Corporation.

Broken Lower Fender Bracket

I heard from Leola Motor Trike today and they told me that Motor Trike Corporation is sending me a complete new replacement bracket set for my 2004 Honda GL1800 and I should receive it by tomorrow night from FedEx. That is what I call good customer relations by Motor Trike and Leola Motor Trike for arranging the whole replacement.

Prowler RT Replacemnt Brackets

Yesterday I received all the parts necessary to upgrage all the brackets on the wheel assembly. I thought I could do it myself, but no way. I did replace the broken lower fender bracket and that took me a while of lying on the ground looking up. I spend hours trying to get the holes lined up. At least now I can ride the bike to Ace Motorworks next week to do the other bracket upgrades.

Thanks for all the help I got from Mike ( Parts Dept. Leola Motor Trike ). Without his help I wouldn't have been able to accomplish this task. Kudos to Mike at Leola Motor Trike.

Motor Trike Corporation send the parts to Mike at no charge.

Gordon I was only able to replace the one lower fender bracket. One out of 12 isn't bad. LOL
