My older brother Terry passed today, he had a fall a couple of weeks ago and the pain would not go away so he went to the hospital for tests and they discovered a large tumor on his liver that had already metastasized. Between the aggressive chemo and radiation treatments he sure didn't last long.

Oh, man... Just saw this now. I am so sorry for you and your family. I will offer up a prayer to help you and the family make it through this terrible time. The proper words are not easy to come by but his suffering is now over and at least it didn't drag on for months.

Thank you all for your prayers, you all are my extended family and what a blessing it has been getting to know each of you. Terry was not in good health, he had become sedentary and had lost his passion for life, after his youngest daughter Connie had committed suicide a few years ago.

She was the sweetest and kindest young lady and had gone through an unwanted breakup with the father of her young daughter Layla. Terry and his wife Toni adopted Layla and raising her became Terry's mission in life. I gave them a new ATV and they loved to ride it together every day.

Friends, we all know that life can throw us unexpected curves but the compassion and support for one another here is a testament to this community's higher purpose. Thank you all for your friendship and support for me and my family and your fellow members and also for your daily contributions to the community's knowledge base.

Randy, I am sorry for the loss of the compaionship of your brother. You will have his memory with you always. And you get to continue the family relationship thru his wife and granddaughter. I hope the Lord brings peace and comfort to you and your family. I will be offering up prayers for your family.

Sorry for your loss. It's been 4 years since my 48yo brother passed unexpectedly from an aneurysm. It's said that time heals all wounds, I beg to differ. May you find strength in the Lord and know we are thinking of you.

Randy, my prayers for you n yours . I cant and don’t want to imagine how that feels . Family bonds are strong and I’m sure this hurts .

Amen Kevin, you are so right.. The passing of one's parents is really tough, so many memories, they loved and cared for us, raised us and made us who we are.

The passing of a sibling is among other things a reality check. It reminds us that the clock is ticking and we are not too far behind. I see some course corrections I will be making.
