Looking for my 1st VW Trike...Where are you?

Hello,
I just joined yesterday. I'm retired. I spend most of my time between Northern Calif and Arizona. I've owned a Yamaha Venture Royale 1200 and a Yamaha 650. Right now I've got a Honda Rebel 250 (fits on back of the RV better).

I'd really like to get a VW Trike. I don't have the time or the place to build one. It seems so much simpler than modifying a dresser. Could do all my own maintenance etc.
Plus, I love the looks of those extended forks as opposed to riser handle bars.

I play music keyboard gigs for snowbirds to keep busy...always fun. In the off months I'd like to go cross country in a VW trike. But I have to find one first :)

Welcome aboard Mike. I am Cal. St. Director for Brothers of the Third Wheel and may have some contacts for builders here in Cal. If interested pm me. I just wish that there were more TT members on the left coast that I could meet and ride with. This is a great group and open to all, as with BTW and do enjoy both web sites.<br />

Thank you all for such nice information. I'm still inquiring about registration, insurance, license requirements, auto/stick shift, delivery etc and etc. Also, I really appreciate seeing the show stopper looks of some of these beautiful creations.
I guess as a 1st Trike, I'm going for a basic model that can travel a long ride and hold a few necessary items. I am starting to lean towards the auto tran though. Great forum. Take care, Michael
