Login Landing Page Content Preference

I visit a lot of different forums and have noticed that most have the landing page (the page that opens when you come to the site) set to open to New Posts or Latest Posts, rather than the Forum Listings Home Page. The reason being is that frequent visitors who are long time members seem to prefer not to land on the forums home page and search through each forum to see the latest posts. I'd like to know whatever is your preference and why so we can determine what settings suits the majority?

I like the community forums.Lately i'm using a combo of the 2.

I like new posts. As moderator my first task is to review the new posts for items, expressions and poor taste to take corrective action. I only usually have time late evening before bed.

OK, I set it where you've got BOTH now on the same landing page. The Community Forums is front and center and the Latest Posts is just to the right side of the Community Forums list.
