It's amazing what a person will learn if he's willing to read real articles instead of magazines and motorcycle forums. Have a good day!!! :Coffee:

So what you're saying now is, all magazines and forums don't tell the truth and don't have any facts!?

So how about you printing the facts and where you got them.

Fine. YOU have had great experience with the stuff. The REST of us HAVE NOT! I've worked on small engines that are 1 year old. Stored over the winter. Carb was clogged. My fuel economy tests have been on my own vehicles. I can PROMISE YOU, my engines are in top shape, & I ONLY run PREMIUM in my stuff! I've tried the gas with ethanol & without. The stuff without outperforms EVERY TIME! You have had a good experience with it. Great for you. I HAVEN'T!

Anybody besides me suspect that oahe is a corn grower ?

The only accurate statement he makes is that E-85 runs fine in vehicles that have engines and systems designed for it. The problem with that statement is that he uses it to try to convince us to use it in motorcycles when absolutely no brand has designed machines to do so.

Beyond that, in relative terms, the numbers of cars and trucks designed to run E-85 are also very small and the vast majority of drivers will be subjected to both increased fuel costsand drastic increases in maintenance costs if E-85 is mandated.

From the personal experience side, I drove a Suburban with a Flex-Fuel engine. I tried E-85 on one long trip pulling a trailer and confess that it ran well. The drawback was that the higher fuel price coupled with about a 6 mpg decrease in fuel mileage was beyond my tolerance level and I don't consider myself a cheapskate by any measure.

You would be WRONG!!!

I'm merely someone who is very curious why some have had good experiences with ethanol and others not. I thought it might be interesting to discuss the topic but was immediately slammed by those who only want blame something new to them. My guess would be that they ride motorcycles with 1940's technology.

Therefore, we must "all" buy flex fuel motorcycles. Now there's a really great solution to make the corn lobbyists, the liberal politicians, and the regulators happy. It always amazes me how much the politicians know about nothing. They know what the lobbyists tell them.

Why don't you just say that you have nothing to offer to the conversation? That trite rhetoric was old several years ago.

You have to refer to what % ethanol you are talking about. Most people don't have any problems with 10%. I live where there is no other option.

I think the people that are having problems are refering to higher ethanol content.
