Late nighters---unite!!!

I won't be up much longer, how is the weather down your way, turned chilly here had frost on car windows this morning. I guess this will be 1000th if you are still awake. I would like to see the LED lights.

Well, this makes 1001. I posted in the single word thread. It was kind of relevant since I still have my first Harley , a 60 PANHEAD. Weather is the same here. Beautiful on Monday. Rode about 70 miles. A few snow flakes on Tuesday morning and frost this morning. Had to take the Jeep anyway today, our monthly trip to Sam's Club and visited a friend in the hospital while nearby.

I'd like to see the LED lights too. Congrats on your 1,000th Bill.

I'm heading to bed after a long day of wrangling Girl Scouts on an outing. Actually, we've been back a couple of hours, and it took a little while to unwind. Hope to see y'all tomorrow night.

Glad you got some riding in, I haven't even gotten mine out yet this year, soon I hope. I'll probably be doing the Sam's thing this weekend. I think I'll get to bed talk at you later. Hope Scott had a good time on his days off.

Okay all you late nighters, here is a photo of my almost completed trike conversion. Since I don't want to write any info as to how long it has taken here. If you would like that data, just PM me for what has transpired. And as soon as its totally completed I will finally change my Avatar!
It'll be worth the wait. I can't imagine how anxious you must be by now,:gah:. Sweet machine.

Remember this is an older GL1800, an '05 that I have owned since 11/04. I purchased it to replace my '03 Illusion Blue GL1800, that was stolen by a guy on "House Arrest" from my shed in my backyard when I was still living in Miami. I received my insurance money thirty days later and purchased my current unit. Approximately 90 days later mine Blue bike was recovered. How this came about was another criminal had been caught and upon interrogation, he gave up the thief of my bike for leniency on a promise from the State Attorney's Office. Great friends these guys were!

I should be picking it up next week upon our return from Kansas. We are going there to celebrate my wife's Mom and Uncle's birthday. 80 and 90 respectively! Her Uncle is a WWII veteran. Thank you for your service!

My mistake, I didn't have the knowledge you've presented of the theft among other things. I doubt very much I'll get through the entire history documented in TT, as it is massive, and I only joined a short time past. I just remember reading that as soon as you get it your avatar would be changing. Guess I was :xzqxz:.

I guess I wasn't paying a lot of attention when I should have, because I don't remember anything about a stolen bike either. Oh well, sometimes I have a hard time remembering my name.

Took a sick day last night. A friend of my wife's family's mother passed away suddenly. I needed to be around to be the Raeden wrangler.

I just saw Birkenstocks mentioned on the single word game thread. Anybody else out there ride their trike while wearing birks? Because I sure do. During the hot days of summer, my riding attire is usually a shirt with the sleeves cut out, a pair of shorts that has belt loops so I can carry my pistol, and a pair of birks.

I think Birkenstocks are the most comfortable shoes out there. Some might think they're a little dangerous wearing them while riding, but I never put my feet on the ground unless I'm getting off the durn thing anyhow.

Scott, my dear fellow, you are an enabler! I went out today and picked up a Sig P290rs in 9mm. Was looking for a Ruger LC9 but fell for this instead. 6+1 with another 8 round extended mag and.........Siglite night sights. :clapping:

Glad I could help...both with the image and the enabling.

I figured you would be out either playing or listening to music somewhere at this time on a Friday night.

Steel tip boot's for me... Feel naked riding without them...
Mentioning the single word game I posted Ho's... [Ho Chi Minh Sandals]
Nam Vets would remember them... Charley would leave them while trying to out run a 5.56......

A guy I once knew told me they would make them out of old tires, among other things.

Went to listen to some friends play. Got home about 10:30.
Watched some videos about the P290.
I have been searching for several days for a video I saw maybe six months ago about some guy riding a Tri Glide on an obstacle course with orange cones lifting a wheel on the tight curves. Your drift trike thread made me look some more. They were maybe Philipinos or Polynesion or something else I can't spell. He was pretty good at it!

Definitely some crazy people on those drift trikes, eh?

Yep.... Old tires... They would use whatever they could get their hands on... When we would move to a new area... Charley would search the area we just left, For anything we left behind.. Even the slit-trench's. And use it against us if they could...
They on the other hand would leave nothing nada. Not even empty shell casing's... Unless we hit them quick with heavy fire and 105's...

The guy I'm talking about told me once that he was looking through binoculars at an old farmer and his wife, and had an epiphany...The old man had bought himself a young wife that he was rubbing an hugging on just after he had yoked up his oxen to go into a rice paddy. His epiphany was that the old man could care less about any democracy that he (my friend) was risking his life to fight for.

He was happy on his little farm with his young wife.

I wish my friend Jim was still around. He would love this forum. He was a Marine and served in Nam.

Is the forum speed slow tonight. My screens are taking an awfully long time to load. A couple of other sites don't seem to have this problem.

About time for 1dn5up to make an appearance. Half hour or so anyhow.

We've had some snow here! No accumulation, but gosh, it was blowing so hard you could barely see outside!! I do hope it clears up for the funeral and graveside service today. That was the one thing about my father-in-law's graveside service that made it bearable. It was an absolutely perfect day. Sunny and the temperature was just right.

Late wake up, did ya have a family death ?
The wind here just does not want to quit. Granddaughter plays JV softball, been bzy going to games. Got one this am. I got to dress like it's ice fishing season. Also calling for am snow.:gah:

We ended up getting an inch of snow. This is the latest in the year I ever recall getting any kind of accumulation. It was mixed with ice which has apparently wreaked havoc on the local roads.:AGGHH:

And actually it was the mom of a friend of the in-laws. The friend is like family to us though.

Sorry to hear that. We are at the point of our lives wear it's a common thing to hear.
Good part, 50's next week, then 60's week after. So the weather guy predicts .

It has been a strange weather year in Mark Twain country as probably the entire country. Give it a minute and it will change kind of thing. Below freezing last night, presently 45, and a little breezy. Yesterday we had some small hail, but hardly any snow throughout the winter months, which is really strange - not complaining.
