Late nighters---unite!!!

The lawn needs a cut, trees are blooming, things are green. Woke up to 28* and 2" of snow. Aaaaah!!

I went up to Narrowsburg this morning.. 21 degrees and about 2 inches of blowing snow..
Need to bring some equipment back so i took the truck, I always carry a chain in the bed, Really came in handy, I had to pull a tree out of the way to get down the road [dirt] and around downed power lines and into my camp...
Never a dull moment in the Yiddish Alps this time of year....:)

Looks like a special kind of boring for tonight. Not only is this the first post since my last in this thread, but it's first since my last in this whole forum!!

Good AM,

Scott, you've been bzy doin stuff. Gota get it done!

I think catfish has been snooping around my property with a drone taking pictures ! :clapping:

Speaking of doing stuff...

I hope it doesn't do much raining today so I can pick my TG up from storage. It needs some miles put on it. I want 25K by June of '18 so they have to repack the front forks under my covered maintenance agreement. That's an expensive little job.

My FLH 2 wheeler needs fork seals and probably a rebuild. It's a 91 with anti-air dive assist . Been putting it off due to not using it much.
31* and snowing lightly here. Schools at 2hr delay.
Grand daughter plays JV softball, last 2 games were canceled due to weather. Hope it's not a short 6 months.

Yeah, well there's never a dull moment at our house. Between the wife, a 13 and 12 year old, two dogs and a cat, there's always something going on.

Wouldn't have it any other way. :p

Yeah, been there done that with, wife, four daughters, dog, and cat. I totally understand and felt the same way. It has been an empty nest for awhile, two youngest are 28 and 30 twenties, 38 and 40, and still almost always something going on. We did deja vu, the first two went so well we decided to have two more. :clapping:

My house will never be an empty nest. Raeden, my youngest (12), has severe atonic epilepsy, and even after brain surgery and a VNS implant she still has over 100 seizures a day. Much better than the 300+ she used to have though. She has the mind of about a 3 year old in most things. Her sense of humor is a little more advanced than that however. Funny how that stuff works.

My oldest daughter, Bridget (13), has developmental problems. To talk to her, you would never know it, she just seems a little shy. But if you ask her what time it is and she doesn't have something digital to look at, she can't tell you. Also, if you were to throw a handful of change on a table and tell her if she can correctly count it she can have it, you wouldn't lose your money. And trust me, we've worked and worked with her.

Anyway, probably TMI, but there it is.

I'm a firm believer that love overcomes all obstacles and our children are our most precious gifts. There is nothing possible we wouldn't do for them within our power so they are in the best of care, i'm positive.

Sometimes, I feel like I have to dig for that power. I fail quite a lot. I get overcome with emotions, and it can cloud my thinking. I have to step back and take a deep breath before proceeding with the situation of the moment at times.

No one is perfect and we manage the best we can as parents. Apply the strength of your children and their perseverance. They are the educators who light the way.

Thanks for sharing, gotta go Scott. :vxtyaq:

I've said many times that I have learned more from my children than I ever did my parents or school teachers. Weird how that works out.

Hi Micheal, I'm here for a bit.
I was hoping to get up a video of my LED lighting for my 1000th post, but can't bet any help from my son to make it. I'll put it up whenever.......
I think this makes post 999.
