Late nighters---unite!!!

Four. All KoAloha. A soprano, a Pineapple Sunday, a custom tenor, and a spruce/macassar ebony Sceptre. The last belonged to my father in law, and he passed it down to me.

Wow ! Nice stable. Are the Sunday and Sceptre both tenors? I'm pretty sure they made a concert version of the Sceptre.

Sceptre is a tenor. Sunday has a tenor neck (all do). It sings like a soprano though.

The Sceptre is a rare animal. There aren't many that Pops made.

What's in your stable?

What's in your stable?

The players are a Kanilea concert, MP pineapple concert, Pono electric solid body Mango tenor and a custom mahogany tenor.
I started collecting vintage sopranos. They range from a 20's Wurlitzer with violin style pegs, Martin style 0, 1K and 2, Gretsch, Harmony and 2 Gold Label Kamakas.

You've got quite a stable yourself. I've always wanted to play a vintage Martin. The closest I've ever got is a new Mexican made Martin. I'm sure there's a HUGE difference.

Yeah, that 1K (Koa with rosewood binding from 1928-32) rings like a bell, and light as a feather. That's probably the reason it has three repaired cracks. That knocked the value down about half, which is why I could afford it!

I've always heard when any stringed instrument sounds best is when it's ready split. Yours should sound 3 times better than any other if that's the case!

Tonight was another slow night at Big Lots, the last customer was a trip she was looking for a blanket for someone confined to a wheel chair. The throws were too large and so the smallest blanket we had was a baby blanket. She bought one in light blue.
On Wednesday I go in from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Speaking of odd forums on of the members of the Goldwing forum keeps mentioning a 'Snow Blower Forum' I just had to run a 'Bing' search and I found it and the fellow who mentions it is a moderator.
Me, I'm up got in about an hour ago, 12:15 am est.

Welcome Trike Lady, I work 4pm to midnight, unless the bosses start changing shifts they like to do that this time of the year as we are slow during this time.
I was stationed in Dubois as a Army recruiter in "73, had a friend stationed in Butler.

Thank you. Retail sales as an extra for the holidays, hours vary every week. Store stays open till 11:00 pm and the last customer came in at 10:30 pm and then the rest of the night drags on. My regular work is motorcycle repair, I do miss it and hope to open a small shop once again
Butler is a nice town, I've been here since 2013. Where I live I am walking distance to shopping and if I need a bus I can catch one at the corner. I live in Butler Township not Butler City, Butler City isn't what it once was say the residents.
Thank you for your service.

Morning Scott; I couldn't sleep after a two mile walk last night. Seems my knee's didn't care for that long walk. I used to walk 3 miles a day but haven't done it in a while. trying to get back into it instead of sitting around watching TV at night. Right now its about 36 degree here in Sun City West at 3:58 am. Wife is up cutting coupons amd ME on the pc. Ozzie is laying in his bed just looking at us like really ?. Lol Temps are suppose to be around 70 today and high 70's the rest of the week. So sometime this week i'll install the DK lift kit on my 2014 HD Trike. Hope that stops me draggin my pipes going down the driveways around here.

Finished rehearsal for a Christmas show at church tomorrow night. The other musicians have been sick since last week, so I'm just playing along with Youtube. We'll see what jells tomorrow.

Dumb question--what's the play about. Not all plays are shepherds and Baby Jesus.

Hi Bill, I read a couple of posts about your and Scotts collection of Ukes. I have never played any instruments. Hope your concert goes well.

Thanks. I recognized Scott's screen name from the uke forum and found out we both were members there.

Weren't you going to be doing some hunting? You have a good area for it.

I'm here for a little while, I have no idea what you two are talking about, so I'll listen for awhile.
You might hear a couple of things that are offensive. I had chili for supper.

Yeah--how'd you do?

So far I have been hunting twice and have not had any luck. With the way my work goes I will be taking the last 2 weeks this month, should be a little colder and better hunting, I hope.

Are you in a hunt club? Use dogs, or still hunt?
