Just bought a new trike, looking at doing some future mods. I was wondering if anyone has put freewheeler wheels on there Tri glide, and if so did the larger front wheel affect ride or handling. Thank you in advance. Steve

Welcome. Yes you can use the free wheeler wheels (Enforcers) on our trikes. If you check out the web, it is a very popular mod. I have a set of free wheeler rims to put on my 18 anniversary trike, but will get them chromed first. They will look like this on the front.....

Hi Steve! Welcome to TrikeTalk from west Texas! Congrats on the new trike. You’ve got miles of smiles coming up!

Welcome aboard Steve. Others have done it and you will hardly notice any change in the steering. CONGRATS on the trike

I have a set of 3 new freewheeler rims for sale that I took off my 2017. They've got less than 800 miles on them. I'm asking $495 plus shipping from Dallas. (no clue on that cost, I'm just listing locally right now). I bought new chrome ones so I've still got the shipping boxes. Doesn't come with the two rear hub covers. Also, check and see if your tri glide rotors will fit.

Ride safe,

Ron

Hey Steve!

......nice lookin' trike you got there!

.......Yes, its just about all Harley has in the way of chroming out those trike wheels....ie. Enforcer (or I think the other style is Anarchy?)....in any case, I believe you will have to go to a 19" front wheel (which is the size of std freewheelers)...BUT, the front tire you will use is a "Low Rider" type tire = what harley has in stock...in combo you'll notice very little to no difference as the front of the trike will rise only slightly.

...........you might wish to consider staying with the 15" Enforcer (or Anarchy) rear chrome wheels instead of the 16" Harley offers so you can keep those new rear tires that came with the trike............up to you!

.....I have a 2016 Tri Glide and last year I asked the exact questions your asking now...Then I did the deal and have no regrets!

........see chrome wheel my ride below: (I hope pic comes out ok as I am new to this posting stuff)

Hey Colleydog!

....Thanks to you and the others for the comps. on my trike!.....It has taken me 1 1/2 years to finally get this thing decked out the way I like it (we won't even talk about the bucks spent).

.....Now, the handlebars on my trike is Paul Yaffe 10"........and I really like'em as they fit me very well......I bought them thru the the local Harley Dealer who also installed them....you see Harley only offers 12" bars which of course would require some additional expensive hydraulic hoses!!!!

.....so stay with 10" and the existing clutch, ect. lines work just fine.

....I went back and checked my paperwork from the HD Dealer.....here are the numbers for identification: 0601-1818 Handlebar BG NA FLH 10 CH

Cheers!

Hey Colleydog!

......while I'm thinking about it: If you decide to go with the HD Enforcer chrome wheels.........you will soon notice all the brake shoe dust getting on those beautiful rear wheels with a quickness!!!! ....so, if you stay with the 15" rear wheel size, you can get a pair of Mirror Polished Stainless Steel Wheel Discs (looks like chrome).....these disks mount inside the wheel rim and on the axle hub...........these things prevent most of the brake shoe dust from getting on those chrome wheels.....they do a fine fine job ( and looks good too!)

...........These mirror polished discs are installed on my trikes rear wheels and can be seen clearly on my previously posted pic........these things are so mirror finished that it seems like your looking thru the wheels to the other side of the ground ..........but your really looking at the outside reflection of the surface between you and the wheel!!!!

..It took me a while to actually find out where to get these discs as I had seen them used on other trikes, but couldn't locate on the net because I didn't know what to even call them.

.........They are not "that expensive" for the function and looks, I think anyway!

........Its kinda difficult to locate on their busy website, but this is where to get-em' if you decide to go this way with the wheels: RJS originals.com..... https://www.rjsoriginals.com Ph#910-592-1585

....be sure to call and discuss with them before you buy and make sure they know exactly what wheel you have as they only have these mirror disks for 15" Standard stock (or the enforcer) Harley wheels...........(may fit on other 15"wheels too- I dont know.......so tell them what your wanting to do before you buy!)

Cheers!
