Kutter Extended Warranty

I know lots has been said here about the pricing for the extended warranty and wheel/tire coverage that Kutter Harley sells, but has anyone actually needed to use their warranty?

Any problems with coverage, the company, or anything else?

It sure is looking like a good deal - I would save over $1000 from what the local Harley dealer is quoting to me for my new '15

thanks

Fuzzy he is asking about a contract that Kutter HD offers from an independent company NOT the HD extended warrantee.

I used to get my HD extended warranty from Kutter. But then HD changed their policy dis-allowing Kutter to sell the HD extended warranty outside their area....soon after that Kutter came up with a non HD endorsed extended warranty. It may be good for those in the area...but there are too many places we travel that I am not confident I would get as good a service from a Dealer that is not familiar with that warranty program.

Perhaps after it is proven, a few years from now...but until then I am leery of it.

Thanks for the info. Anyone know how long Kutter has been selling the policy from CornerStone United? I know the Harley one is administered by CNA.

Sounds like the CornerStone United one is new??

Sure would like to hear from someone who has had experience with a claim under CornerStone United.

It's been around a year that Kutter has been selling the CU warranty. Can't answer the other questions.

I can't answer that either but I did buy my HD ESP from Kutter even though they were not my selling dealer and I found them to be a class act to deal with. My thinking is they would not sell a plan that was not reputable.

The CornerStone United plan they sell is only new to the HD world. Suzuki and Artic Cat use CSU for their extended service plans.

Went to Kutters website and read the fine print. It says not covered are items prohibited from use by manufacturer. That would be a trailer hitch I am thinking

I appreciate all the speculation about hitches - I read the fine print that they would be excluded too.

But has anyone actually filed a claim under this companies warranty?
I'd like to find out if they honor legitimate claims, or if there are any problems.

You would get a far better answer to your question on a Can Am or Suzuki forum than here. Trike Talk is a very small representation of Harley owners. Even smaller is the HD owners that have purchased this plan from Kutter.

Third party warranty

My Dealer sells a third party warranty and they do not care about trailer hitches and they even cover the trailers if you purchase the option, the salesman said that is why they don't push the HD exteneded because they do sell trailers and hitches. I have found that most third party warranties will cover anything on the bike. If you deal thru a credit union, check out the warranty they sell.

thanks everybody for the input.
I don't pull a trailer, but after re-reading all the fine print - I'm going to go with the Harley warranty from the dealer. Too many unknowns.
