I've always used the H-D 7 year extended warrantee on last 5 bikes (last 4 were TG's). Every one has paid for itself. I guess I just have bad luck with Harleys, but then again, I ride the sh*t out of them (even totaled one of them) and put at least 15K miles/year.

I think every high mileage TG owner should get an extended warrantee. JMHO

X2 with Gary. We ride 12 months a year and generally put between 10,000 and 12,000 miles on each year, 80% of which is 2-up riding. So far on the last two they haven't paid for themselves but I have had to use them here and there.

I'm going with Jim when my factory warranty expires and like you hope I never have to use it. On my '99 Ultra and my '07 and '12 CVO Ultras the H-D ESPs I had on them paid for themselves many times over. New or totally rebuilt motors ain't cheap and neither is a lot of electrical parts I had to have replaced. So far the three M8s I've had - a '17 CVO Limited for 10k, an '18 TG for right at 30k and now my '20 TG with a tad over 14k have been totally trouble free. Only thing any of them were in the shop for was the clutch side switch pak on the '18 that would fail and prevent starting in gear. Other than that zip, zilch, nada . . . and I hope it stay that way!

Also going with Jim when Factory warranty is done next spring sometime. I already switched Trike,Car,Truck & House to Jim. Great guy to deal with. About year later, we needed new shingles on roof. Got it done quickly. No problem, thanks to Jim.

I've been working with Jim for over 10 years. We made a video on the subject recently. Besides being less expensive, the BIG BENEFIT is you can do what you want to your Ride without being concerned about HD voiding the warranty.
