i have 87 1100 sporster (paint only made in 86,&87) red,
i bought a drag 4.5 gal. tank. carefully did the kreem coating, cured 2 months, then had the tank painted. this red color was only made in '86 &'87. you have to use their primer etc, or it will peal. 450.00 later. i'
i've only had the bike on the road since this spring. 50 miles, then it seem to boog down so i went to reserve and filled it up and say the sealer was bubbling up. got about 60 miles
and it booged again.
enough of crying
now i have to try to get the old sealer out w/o wrecking my paint job.
read simular article on harley davidson forume, like asatone, apple cider vinegar.
so i'll retire the bike and use one of the others
