I'm still on the road,4 inches of snow today at home, more wed and Thurs.

Tx to Grand Rapids takes us 2 days. Must be 3 days to the UP. Missed all the snow here. Would be interested in meeting up some time. We will be by Traverse City around the 4th if you wanna come down. Sept at the Maggie Valley event is good too!

No.. it just spat at us from time to time here in Kerrville..not enough to get the streets wet. The western half of Texas (probably more as well) is in moderate to heavy drought conditions at this time due to La Nina being in control. We get our rainy years during an El Nino.

However tonight and tomorrow night they are warning of really severe storms across the area to include heavy rain (up to 3”), high wind and hail 1-2” diameter. Oh joy...

Since riding Hill Country, we've travelled to Kentucky. We are considering relocating, and we used the Trike to look at houses. Such a chore going from one to another.....

in wisconsin stopped to see a sister and a cousin. Hit some thunder storms in Ill and stopped for 2 days and stayed a classmate, weve kown each other 60 years found out we are 3rd cousins. Heading home tomorrow

I know this is contrary to how most GW riders feel but I really enjoyed riding behind Lola and Chuck. For me our rides in the Hill Country were "spirited". The sounds of the pipes from those ahead of me added to the exhilaration and experience. I liked it..... Jim

For those who stayed at Old River Road RV Resort....this is the small bridge we crossed every day.

We got over 7 inches of rain since Wednesday. The water will probably get deeper since it just stopped raining and all the runoff hasn't reached the river yet.

closing out my Kerrville trip I'm home in my living room no snow but suppose to be 30s and 40s rest of the the week. Once again had a great time enjoyed meeting everyone hope to meet again. Camping World took over our RV dealer while i was gone maybe I'll check out toyhaulers tomorrow.

Bob, I hope you can make Eastern Arizona this fall. Last year we had a blast. A lot of the same great people that were in Kerrville this year. The Coronado Trail ride is not to be missed. The weather is predictably good there in the fall. Kurt has picked a great camp site and time of year for this get together. Put it on your calendar..... IN INK! Jim

Camping World took over our RV dealer while i was gone maybe I'll check out toyhaulers tomorrow.

Camping World is not my idea of an improvement over your old dealer. When we bought our TH, CW was the most expensive and the most arrogant. On the RV forums, They are known for shoddy workmanship and long lines for repairs, keeping your rig for months on simple warranty work. The salesman that sold us ours said CW bought out his employer and after their sales orientation, he left CW because of their attitude towards customers and purposeful lack of followup service.

We left out of Mississippi, crossed thru the corner of Tennessee, over the great Mississippi River...

...into Arkansas when it was sunny...

...that lasted a few hours, then it rained for the next 650 miles.

The next day, Mary and I, Kurt & Dennis leave out to...

...meet up with everyone else at the Super 8 for a day of riding!

This first day was very scenic, relaxing, and a lot of good visiting!

At one point, this was the view from a little one lane road...

...AND, part of the road was a bit underwater!

Fantastic first day of riding! Hopefully it won't take me another month to post up pics from the next two days. :xzqxz:
