Just a thought on what other folks think sometimes and a perception about trikes

Great post. I bought my first Trike this year and I am 59.

I have no health issues that would keep me from riding 2 wheels. I have enjoyed my years on 2 wheels, but felt it was time to look to the future riding with my wife. We both agreed that going the trike route was the thing to do. We have not looked back since. We love the trike, its stability, its comfort, its handling, etc. Truth be known, I wish I had been introduced to trikes years ago. I probably would have come over sooner. Trikes are not just the aged or handicapped folks. Trikes are just plain FUN.

I have much more peace of mind riding the trike, especially with the wife.

But even if she is not on, I prefer the trike over 2 wheels. I won't go back.

We all can expect some ribbing from our 2 wheel friends; I got a little of that. Also, one day at a stop light, I heard someone shout out "tricycle" but I really don't care. My enjoyment, comfort, stability, and peace of mind are more important than what anyone else thinks of me on three. I am "Free on Three" !! Age have NOTHING to do with it.

Well said

Only way I'd ever go back to two would be for the trip to Cut and Shoot Customs for the trike conversion. :clapping: I would have never attempted the trips I took this summer and have planned for next summer if I weren't on a trike.

I just bought my first trike a few months ago. At 60 years old I knew that in the future if I wanted to continue to ride, and I do, that I would be getting a trike. When Harley came out with the 2017 M8 I decided to test drive a Tri-Glide and I was sold. I figured "why not get a trike earlier than I planned". I still miss the two wheels but this trike is growing on me. Love the motor.

Congrats on the new acquisition. Here's wishing you many miles of smiles. Trust me, as you become more acclimated to it, your desire to regress will vaporize. All it took was that first windy rain storm going across the high country in NM this past summer. :D And, welcome to the world's best trike only forum on the web.

Without question, the most friendly place to be.
