I want to buy a turn key (don't have a donor Wing) from a installer either in Florida, Georgia, or Alabama. Have been lurking here and reseraching for the last couple of months, and am considering Roadsmith, Motor Trike and CSC.

Would be most grateful for recommendations about quality installers in these states. Thanks for any help you might give. Have a great day. :wave4:

I would recommend that you call or PM Zook.If he can not help you he can certainly guide you in the rite direction.RIDE SAFE

You've made good choices on the conversions you like. Roadsmith and CSC are #1 & 2. But not necessarily in that order. I like the longer wheelbase for comfort.

Don't forget Hannigan. It also has a longer wheelbase and I believe it's the widest unit as well.

I don't know about CSC, they are having problems with their driveshafts. I guess this has been for a while. I read now they are welding the driveshaft to try a cure the problem. I would think they would reengineer the unit and make a fix for future trikes instead of welding.
Like they said, look at Hannigan.

I just spoke to a Tech at California Side Car and he said the drive shaft problem was from 2007 through 2011 and it was found in 8% of the units involved. He said any new unit will not have the problem.ThumbUp

I LOVE my CSC!! It is a 2012 and it is a wonderful ride....beautiful trike. Any questions, you can call CSC and they are there to speak with you. Very helpful!!

Thanks for the responses. I really do appreciate all of your input, however what I really need are recommendations for installers in FL, GA, AL.

I realize that all conversions have their good and not so good points. As I have learned here it really comes down to a good installer. I live in central Florida, so any recommendations any of you can give in any of these three states would be most appreciated.

Sorry I don't want to alienate any of you good people, but specific recommendations or experiences would be wonderful.

Thanks, have a great day.

Thanks Rich and the others that have recommended installers.

Have you had dealings with KD Cycle, I've seen a number of ads in Cycle Trader and EBAY for their listings. Thats really the core of my post is installers you would or would not recommend.

Thanks for all the responses. Have a great day.

Doc,

I sent you a PM. ThumbUp

Doc Go to Daytona Beach to the Trike Shop. They are the creators of the Roadsmith conversion. Great reputation. Nice people to talk to. Go visit BIKETOBERFEST OCT 18 to 21st in Daytona Beach. You will see alot of trikes and installers. The Trike Shop is a great start.

Trikes By Design This is company that installed my CSC kit on a 2012 wing. I would do business with then again. I Bought my wing from a Honda dealer as a package and the Honda dealer sent the wing to the trike installer. I picked the wing up at the Honda dealer when it was done.

I was about to suggest exactly what Gorilla did. There will be lots of Trikes at Biketoberfest, a great place to see and ask lots of questions.

I also would put in first place to check on an installer would be Bazooka. He is the creator/owner of this site and does fine work. Dothan Al. Is not far from us and I would recommend him first. I have ridden and seen his work which is top drawer. Also he is a great guy. PM bazooka and see if he works for you.

Thanks for all the great recommendations, I will be checking out Biketoberfest, I go every year anyway. I'll be checking out all the ones you folks have recommended. I'll be making a decision sometime between now and Christmas.

Thanks again, have a great day. pepper

A great installer in GA is Coach Rice Trikes in Loganville, just outside Atlanta. Go to their website and you will see many ready to go. I have not heard one bad comment about Coach Rice. They do several different brand conversions, I got a Hannnigan in 2010 and love it.

Coach Rice passed about 18 months ago, but his operation continues to be great. Just give them a call to chat.

I actually stopped by there a couple of weeks ago, seem like really nice, knowledgeable folks. They didn't have anything on lot that I was interested in at that time. Will keep checking with them. Glad you have enough confidence in them to drop a recommendation. Thanks.

Doc I hope you contact Bazooka and give him a chance to back you a happy trike owner.

Hey Rich, it was good talking with you tonight. You reinforced some of what my research had already shown, and provided me some really great insight. Thanks again, you're good people. :wave4:

Doc,

It was a pleasure speaking with you as well! ThumbUp

Now comes the real excitement as your quest for your new ride goes into full swing! :Excited:

Make sure you post pictures after the adoption, lol. :)

Any of you Florida or Georgia folks had any dealings with Trike Traders in Lake Alfred?

Doc,
Shaun at Trike Traders did my Hannigan conversion on an 08 GW. I am very pleased with their work and recommend them. No regrets and I couldnt be happier. The business is a family type...Dad does the install; Mom does the paper work and Shaun, the son, Does sales as well as the other needs of the business. They handle CSC, Hannigan, MT, and others. The times that I shopped there, they had a large showroom inventory of Harleys and Wings with various kits.
