When I joined here in May of 2013 I wanted a trike pretty bad. But things just were not in line yet. Too many iron;s in the fire. So after a Selling my 70 Chevelle. I bought a 2006 Electra glide with only 4 k on it. OH yeah it felt like I was back where I belonged . But then came the move. We sold our home and moved in with our daughter for a 2 months. Because our home sold the 2nd day on the market. We were not ready for that. We moved in and started getting rid of things. Even my 06 Glide went after a few weeks. That sold the day i listed it. So there I was homeless and Bikeless. And not knowing when I was going to get another one. So at the end of Sept we finally made the move to Arizona.

Me driving the Pensky truck and towing her car. My wife driving my pickup with our Dog Ozzie across the country. Got into our Resort home here in Surprise, AZ. Then the fun started of unpacking and getting things put away in the house and in storage. So we started looking at homes for $ale. WE looked everyday at about 1/2 doz every day. Wife and I got tired of it real fast. Then out of the BLUE. SHE asks me have been looking at trike's on line yet. I told her yeah but nothing I want out there. She says have you tried Craigslist ? I said nope not yet. Well that started it all. We came home that afternoon had dinner and she got on line and started looking. Then she said look its been a tough 3 going on 4 months. It's time to have some FUN! So we both started looking for a trike.

Saw a used one ( 14 ) with 5200 miles for 32K. Not bad price, Beautiful Red one. But it was sold a week before. Well dumbass take it off then. My wife started calling HD dealers around us. Asking what they had in a 14 or a maybe a 15. I noticed one at Buddy Stubbs HD. Called Mark and asked him about it. It was used and but in great shape & low miles. So off we went the next morning to look at it. Told my wife hope it doesn't have a tour pac rack on it. I don't like them. Takes away from the looks of the Bike. ( to each his own) We get there and it does have one on it. DAMN. Then Mark tells me he can make me a sweet deal on a BRAND NEW 14 if we were interested. WHY Hell yeah. WE sat down and talked about and came up with a GREAT price. She looked at me and I looked back at her and said ok Done deal. But always a BUT ! Its at my other store so I'll have it here tomorrow if thats ok. Oh Hell yeah again.

SO lady's and Gents were off this morning to pick up out BRAND NEW 2014 TRI GLIDE. HOT DAMN it. Now I'm getting excitied as hell. Maybe that the reason I've been up since 4 am having coffee and typing on here. GOING TO BE A BEAUTIFUL DAY HERE IN THE VALLEY! Mark my coffee drinking buddy in Sun City. Its time to get together for our 1st coffee breakfast next week. YAHOOOOOOO :pepper: Hope you guys enjoyed this as much as I did telling you. Later Dude's & Dudette's.......................................

:pepper: Let the happy dance begin! :pepper:

There is a learning curve .... but well worth it.
Break-in is important .... and it will run hot .... and finding neutral will suck .... but with over 5K on our Roxy everything is perfect and all the break-in issues are gone.

Congratulations! I too just picked up a new trike, but mine is a Freewheeler. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I'm enjoying mine! ThumbUp

I know you are a happy camper...maybe soon you can buy a new garage for the new ride...my 15 Mysterious is in the works...then I can make a post like you did...just remember to have fun and post pictures...'cause you know we all like to see the pictures...

Move to Arizona and a new trike doesn't get any better than that.
I would say be careful and have fun but you can't do both at the same time. So first be careful till you get used to it. Then have fun.

Congrats on the new TG. Nice area. I was just up the road for business there a couple weeks ago. Though I did notice that nobody seems to know how to drive with sun in their eyes. Its only the Phoenix area, so I can see how sun would be unusual for there.

Thanks Guys. Means a lot to this old rider :)' Well had the trike now for 3 days. Getting more comfortable on it on each ride. BUT with the Heat in the mid 90's and slightly humid. Its not that much fun cooking when you stop. Temps here in the southwest are suppose to be getting lower in a few weeks. Thank God. Been out at night a few times at night. Ride was great then. LOVIN the Trike more and more each day.

Hopefully I'll get some pictures to postThumbUp

I almost always run the EITMS when temps are over 80. Adjust the lower fairing vents to direct the air to the engine. Fall has arrived in PA and the temps are great for riding. At 5500 miles we do not notice any heat issues at all .... and soon will be adjusting the lower fairing vents to reduce the flow to the engine so we can be a bit warmer up top.:D

Hey. Thank you all for your good wishes and comments. We had the trike about 3 1/2 days now. Haven't really put any miles on it so to speak. BUT its a GREAT ride. Wife and I enjoy it a lot. Learning something NEW every time we go out on it. PRO's & Cons ? SO far all pros. Don't have to worry about puttin g your feet down and holding 800 + wife and I up any more.

Plus if there's sand or gravel There's NO worry about dropping the bike any longer. Only one thought. Why in thee HELL did we wait so long to do this :DThumbUp. Later guys..................

Rick, congratulations on your new ride! It's been a long wait for you, but now you have your trike and a great place to ride it! Wishing you many carefree miles! ThumbUp

you better hope your wife never read's what you wrote about holding up a 800 + wife!!!! If she does read it you may have a record short ownership of a new TG!!! :D :clapping: :xszpv: :AGGHH: :wave4:
Actually she's the one that came up with that number ;)

Rick & Carmen, Slim and I both are sooo excited for you and deeply honored that you chose to have us go with you to pick up the new ride!! What a fun day we had! That was the first of many great days/evenings and we are looking forward to a real road trip soon...maybe Tucson, Tombstone, or Prescott, Jerome, Sedona, and of course to Laughlin River Run in the Spring. Carmen is absolutely right...retirement is all about having fun while/when/where you can!

Congrats again! Let's ride!

Well we were going to really Surprise you and just show up at your home with it. But we thought it would be MORE fun to ride together on the way back. Not sure how much an Honor it was ridin with an old Tramp. But thanks for going with us. We too look forward to some day trips. Every morning when I get up and look outside and see it sitting there. I just get a SMILE on my face :D. Couldn't think of better friends to enjoy it with ThumbUp

A great time to scoop up a brand new 2014!
BTW, my wife and I have, for years, been wanting to move from 6 months of Ohio winter to Phoenix ( Sun City) area for 24/7/365 biking weather!
