Hopefully no members on this site were affected by the storms that have ravaged the midwest lately. Hope you and all your friends and family are safe and these storms end soon.

I HOPE so also. I sat down yesterday to watch the news on Fox around 3:05 Then just for a moment I wanted to check our weather. So I turned it on the weather channel. OMG all that damage in about 45 mins!!! I don't think we left the TV or changed the channel till after 7 pm! Then we talked about it till later that night. I know its not easy to do. But after one of those. I'd leave Dodge! I couldn't & wouldn't put my family thru that every year.

It was rough listening about them little kids! We have 4 of our own. And 9 grand children. It would kill me if something happened to them. Its all so sad.

I cried listening to the news last night. What a terrible event! I understand more storms are heading toward Texas today. I'm praying for those already struggling and for those in the path of these new storms!

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of those that have lost family and friends. About 4 or 5 years ago we had a twister go thru a little town about 100 miles from here that wiped out over 2/3 of the town and their school. People from all over the area went up there to help clean up and rebuild. A group from our church went up there to help on three different days. I really urge everyone to think about giving to the Red Cross or the Salvation Army as they help the people affected.

God Bless Moore, OK

we saw the damage on tv here in australia. elise and i send our sympathy to those who suffered those extreme conditions, and support to the speedy recovery

2 years ago after Joplin got hit my son in law went to the area to assist in debris removal. I went with him and could not believe just how much destruction you see in person. The tv pictures don't do justice. And I believe Moore is the same thing, but two schools and a hospital got hit. To me it's totally amazing a lot more didn't die. I tell you, we get some snow during the winters but I don't have to worry about my house blowing away. I love where I live.

our son lives in Moore this is the 3rd tornado in 10 yrs they have weathered. he says they have had enough. storm damage was 2 blocks from them
