If this doesn’t being a tear to your eye, then check your pulse. This is different one from the one that was around last year. You will never spend a better 10 minutes...they don't make them like Bob Hope any more.

It makes me thankful that I am old enough to have lived in the time of Bob Hope and what he gave back to our country.

In October 1997 the members of both houses unanimously passed Resolution 75 making Bob Hope an Honorary Veteran. He was the first and only to date to be honored in the history of the United States. I highly doubt there will ever be another so honored. His first USO show was May 6, 1941 and continued for the next 63 years. He is a legend for his patriotism to Country and his dedication to the arms of our Military. Bob Hope rightfully deserves a Military Salute! He truly was one of a kind.

What a Great American!

Thanks for sharing! I remember growing up and watching all the Bob Hope specials that were always on NBC. Hope was a great American and showed such wonderful respect for service members.

I don't know of anyone who compares to him. Maybe Gary Sinise comes close.

Kids today never got to see Hope's historic comedy. Today we are so pitted against each other in terms of politics that we can't laugh and make fun of each other. Hope was a master at poking people in such an intelligent way and I think our kids don't have that ability. They need a safe room when words hurt them.

I heard that Don Rickles did a show at the local High School, And the next day the School Authorities had to bring in Student Counselors to get the Little Darlings to come out from their Mommy's basement...:cxtv:

Love Rickles! The ability to laugh at ourselves and others is a trait that made our country great. Always being injured by words is the signs of a country in steep decline!
