I'm also a member of the btw and some of our group are heading out for the dam, should arrive around 9am ish. No that's not 9 amish, because 9 amish would be in a horse drawn buggy!

I've ridden across that dam a couple times. Some great pics as they were building new bridge. Unfortunately, being a couple thousand miles away, I won't be making it.

Rode across the 'old' bridge/dam couple of months before the new one opened. Got some priceless pictures! Frankly, I'd be a little hesitant to ride across the 'new' bridge on a windy day!

It does get windy crossing the new bridge on a regular basis, but it's well posted and the speed reduced.

I've crossed the bridge more than a dozen times; towing my 38 ft. 5th wheel, my 12 ft. Tandem motorcycle trailer and riding the Gl1800. Each time the winds have been elevated, yet I didn't find it to be a problem. I will admit that co-pilot Anita gets a little nervous on each occasion, but you're across so fast it's hard to believe just how long the bridge is.

It truly was spectacular watching the spans going in place while under construction - it's a long way up there. Kudos to the engineers and team of construction workers.
