Help help

[Old Goat]

Well guy and girls I need help. I have a 1993 GW 1500 and it has a broken speedometer cable I think and I have looked all through my manual (clymer) and I can't find and good way to get to it on the back side of the gauge . Was hopeing one of you had a easy way of getting to it ......
Sure don't want to take it all apart if I don't have to.....
