Have a 2014 Tri Glide with 14000 miles and brand new engine lost engine (13613 miles)in WY going to Yellowstone. Harley replace with new engine.

Rode to Salina KS Sunday really great day for riding, wife and I and friend went to Olive Garden for lunch.
Gassed up before heading back noticed when i stopped at pump it felt like the brake was on got off and tried to roll back and forth it had lots resistance like brake or emergency was on.
It wasn't but when I pulled up on pedal resistance was gone, step on brake resistance again.
Bought some WD40 sprayed everything didn't seem to help.
as long as I didn't push on brake it was ok. so drove home checking that pedal was up good. made it home with no issues then Jacked up when home and the same thing really dragging bad.
Pads look good nothing rubbing.
Anyone have this problem?????

My first thoughts would be to check the play with the park brake? Check the park brake assembly didn't come loose at the wheel?

Since it happened after the engine replacement .... they could have pinched a brake line under the gas tank. There was a recall for the Ultra 2 wheelers for this exact issue. Otherwise, there is a spring in the rear brake pedal assembly that could be broken or sticking. I'd have it checked by your Dealer if still under warranty.

brake sticking

had the same problem the brake pedal would not return. Dealer took pedal off and sanded the Teflon bushing and sprayed oil on it works fine now. The bushing expanded causing this.
