Helmet Speed Clips?

After years of riding using helmet speed clips I recently had an experience with one that broke loose. Of course the speed clip was plastic but this hasn't happened before after years of using both the metal and plastic versions.

My question is has this ever happen to you and if not what type/brand of helmet speed clip do you recommend?

Instead of D rings to tighten the neck strap it's a spade clip, like the strap on a baby's high chair...

I am familiar with them.
I almost bought some, but did not think they would save that much effort in using the "D" clamp.
I don't totally take the strap out of the "D" clamp, so its pretty quick to slide the strap tight.

OK, now I know. Thanks. After changing out my Nolan with their excellent snap connector and going to HJC I missed the quick connection and ordered a quick release chin strap connector from Amazon. A spade type clip like on a baby'w high chair sounds even better to me as long as it was metal.
