Which Helmet ?

I just watched a couple of videos on the LS2 Advant helmet. That is definitely appealing. Next time I am where I can see one in person, I'll be checking it out.
The helmet I have is coming up on 3 years old, so not looking to replace it yet. But this helmet is definitely on my list when it does come time to get a new one.

Thank you to everyone that shared info on it!

Kevin

I got the new LS2 Advant X helmet in the mail today.
I've been wearing it around the house and shop for over an hour and at this point the fit is perfect. I measured my skull to be around 59-60 cm. I ordered the XL 61-62 cm. Glad i did. I believe the size is perfect.
It's a quality helmet. Fit & finish are superb. Everything works very smoothly and it's very comfortable and quiet. Not sure how that'll pan out at 70 mph though. Time will tell.

You're going to like it a lot. In the summer, when you flip it all the way to the rear position, you'll have no buffeting whatsoever, when its closed you'll have no wind noise, its got lots of vents for airflow, the inner tinted 1/2 shield is great.. the helmet is not super heavy like some but its quality.. it's the best all around helmet I've ever owned for all riding conditions.

1st impressions so far, I agree with you 100%. Quality brain bucket.

Update on the helmet Lidlocks. The T-bar that comes with the Lidlock kit actually does work. I guess i was just being cautious with the new helmet while trying to figure out how the T-bar would fit in the micro ratcheting mechanism. It works and I still have a way to secure the helmet to the roadster.

Wow! A lot of LS2 Helmets out there. I'd sure like to try one on.
I think the idea of attending a bike show/rally is your best bet. I know there’s several vendors at the Lone Star Rally in Galveston, Texas every year (NOV). I’m old and slow and try stay out of everyone’s way as much as possible. If the good Lord’s willing I won’t need to crash test a helmet. I really like the modular (flip face) helmets with retractable sun visors. Had my nose broke twice so wearing any type of glasses inside a helmet doesn’t work for me.

The only problem with that is we're all pretty much shut in for the winter and the next best thing to riding is getting more and better stuff. Thats why Amazon exists.

I have an HJC that’s about twenty years old. Haven’t had any issues. I ditched the SENA 20S and went back to the old pigtail plug-in. I couldn’t see paying that much money for a WHIM just so I could talk bike to bike. AND…. the Senas I had weren’t the HD compatible whichwould have been another career purchase. I can plug my iPhone into the trike (ROJO) and I’ve got Apple Car Play and I can make phone calls.

I like to wear a full face helmet on trips. I bought a Sena Outrush R modular helmet about a year ago. This is a Bluetooth model that pairs to a cell phone for music, calls, talking nav, etc. It was a replacement for a Shoei RF 1000 full face. I kind of regret it. The Bluetooth and modular functionality is cool. On the other hand, it's noisy. The helmet is affected by wind noise due to the number of seams compared to a regular full face. If I buy a helmet in the future, I'll get a full face and add a Sena or Cardo headset.
