Hi to all! Registered here over a year ago and have been reading, lurking, learning and modding. Figured it was about time I posted a Hello and thanks to many here for the sage advice I picked up along the way.

Bought a new 2011 TriGlide in May 2011. Had to pay the Harley tax to get rid of most of the heat, so far so good. In 45 years of riding Harleys I had come to expect heat, but this brick on wheels was an oven on wheels. I've cured all of that, and absolutely love the trike now. Too bad MoCo doesn't recognize that the trike needs some mods to make it pleasant riding - and hopefully - long lasting!

Well then... a belated welcome to the forum family! :D And good news on cooling your ride down.

I guess I will just say hello since you are seasond veteran already.Good to have you saying your peice. Was planning on being in your part of the country this weekbut it did not work out.RIDE SAFE

Welcome Incar911..I got my '11 the same month last year. How 'bout tellin' us what you modified to fix the heat issues..Just curious!

Pretty much what everyone else with the problem has done.
Mine Specifically:
. FuelMoto S/S headpipe & wrapped with DEI header wrap (really big difference in heat radiation with the wrap added sitting and running)
. Power Vision Tuner (Fuel Moto map with adjusted low RPM fuel enrichment)
. 1" footboard extensions from HarleyGoodies
. Ward's 160* thermostat for the oil cooler
. Captain Itch Crotch Cooler
. Lenale parade fan (soon to be replaced with Ward's FCS Miniature Dual Fan setup)
. Removed the lowers for summer riding to get more air moving around the motor (no help when stopped though).

With these modifications riding is now more than acceptable. Once the FCS unit goes on I think no further mods will be needed. Time will tell ;)

Holy Crap....Wagontown! Thought I'd never hear of that place again....

Seriously, welcome to the forum. For the record, I grew up in Coatesville but current live in SE Washington state. My wife & I own a Thoroughbred Motorsports Stallion & frequent the forum there. Wife is from West Chester.

^^ Small world huh? ThumbUp

I'm at Hibernia Park/Chambers Lake if you remember where that is just north of Kings Highway (RT340). Wife is from West Chester too via Downingtown.

I assume you are a native of the area? Last residence my mother had before passing away in 1999 was off of Hibernia Road: road was named Reid Road.

But yes, I do know where you are at. Spent many a fair at the Wagontown Fire Dept in the '70s. Graduated from CASHS in 1978, then promptly proceded to leave the area (college/military). My wife has her 40th high school reunion at Henderson this fall so we are planning to return to the area late September/early October time frame. Perhaps we can schedule a meeting?
