Has anyone used a trim ring on their Freewheeler headlight? There is a frenched ring 69626-99 and a visor type ring 69734-05. If so, could you post some profile pictures? Any comments on fit and installation would be appreciated too. These replace the oem ring and they mount with a tab like the original, as far as I can tell. I know some folks have had issues with the split type that clamp on. Thanks, Roy

Thought some owners might have given you their actual experiences with the Headlight Visor Trim Ring for the Freewheeler. I installed Visor Trim Rings for Headlight and Auxiliary Lights on my Tri Glide, but my headlight is inside a faring, so my pics wouldn't help. I can say the Auxiliary Visor Rings were an easy install, however, the Headlight Visor Trim Ring required a bit more extra effort and ingenuity to make it visually pleasing. I've read similar comments regarding installation of the Freewheeler's Headlight Visor Trim Ring. It's doable, just might take a bit more effort and clever solutions if you have fitment issues.

Anyway, check out the Reviews, Photos and Q&A comments on Harley's web page for 69734-05. Hope this gives you a bit of useful info.

Thanks, Wes. I didn't know about the reviews. You were right, some said it fits perfectly, others said it was a real pain. I guess the next step is to purchase one and try it. I will let everyone know how it turns out.

After I posted, I found some really good pics of a Freewheeler with the visor style ring. They were posted by Trike4u on page 5 dated mid August of 2016 (photos of Freewheeler with mods). IMO, it adds a more muscular look to the front end, especially the side view. I picked one up and it installed easily with very little drama. The ring wanted to rise as I secured the screw. That was easily solved by inserting a spacer, a piece of 1/8" thick rubber gasket material in the bottom of the visor ring (approx. 1" x 2"). I'm pleased with the result.
