Harley Tri Glide versus Everyone Else

This hole thread seems to be Tri vs Can Am and really mines better than yours. Would like to read more of other rides vs Tri..:xzqxz:

Alienwulf. You are right on the money!!! There are a whole lot of trikes that fit into the original post which suggested "and everybody else". Let's start hearing from "everybody else":clapping:

Well lets hear about yours?? ThumbUp or any conversions out there..

I like to see an Indian Trike Factory made. But some of the conversion kits look pretty good too

See mine every day but still grin every time I walk by it. Put the tank lift kit on and the fangs to run cooler it helped. 2008 Champion kit straight axle which handles the switch backs real good like the feel. Got the Evo it was built with thought about a crate motor but decided to just rebuild this one my self. 1340cc ported the heads installed S&S springs rockers and Ultima box's. Andrews pushrods Sifton lifters and a Crane Fireball 300 cam for heavy two up. Rebuild the S&S carb motor runs real nice for a 23 year old trike it will keep up pretty well. Running all new Michelin Defenders on rear and Commander II up front. Replaced all lights with led, pretty much got an old new trike would not trade it for a new one for anything. Love the older tech has sole I can't seem to find anywhere else. Don't mean to go on and on but dam they get in your blood.
:D

I've said this a thousand times in a hundred threads. I have a Roadking that I converted with a Champion IRS kit. I test rode several trike conversions along with a Triglide before I got what I have. I tried a Tri and I didn't like it at all. The solid rear had the harshest ride, the bars were to narrow, the seat to close to the tank, and it was hot. I don't like tour packs, lowers, or radios so that didn't help any. My converted Roadking with a 95 inch motor and a cam has more get up and go than the stock Tri. Besides the Tri and the 4 conversions I tested, the only other 3 wheeler I ever rode was a servicar. THAT was slow, harsh, didn't handle for crap and can't compare to any of todays conversions or new Harley trikes. The difference was like the difference between a model T and a new Cadillac. There you have it. My Tri to everyone else assessment and I didn't even mention a Can Am.

I can't believe with all of the other very cool conversions that are out there that nobody else is showing off their cool non-TriGlide trike. Although I bought a Can-Am Spyder F3-S as my sport trike, when I am behind a Can-Am, I can't get over how silly they look to me:qpnmt:. Of course, when I got my TriGlide, old images of meter maids on Servi Cars kept dancing around in my head and when I was following my buddy on his year earlier TGU, I thought it looked a bit goofy as well:p

It seems there either not many non tri's out there anymore or Tri's really are the most popular by far. I was hoping to see other custom trikes also oh well:Shrug:

Sooner or later all trikes, 3 wheelers, will be flooding the mkt as like the 2 wheelers are now. There is no shortage of bikes, new or used. Trikes sales in general today has hit its peak in sales , due to us, the baby boomers. As for the future goes, it's a over 60 age thing or being handicapped . Body styles and IRS vs live axle is a personal preference. After we die off, E Bay and Craigs List will be full of used trikes of all makes. Will the market be flooded as with 2 wheelers? Probably not. Will manufactures go belly up ? Don't know. Being ownership is not 2 or 3 in your neighborhood, means to me that the under 60 crowd out numbers us. My neighborhood is full of 2 wheelers , cause I am now the hoods senior. JMO

Wow speechless, beautiful built great read.ThumbUp

Not only am I speechless but I just lost my hearing and possibly my sense of balance due to some increased weakness in my knees after seeing your build;)

What a fantastic story about a great trike and its build. Thanks for sharing Clint. It really adds a face to other people's work. It makes many of the bits on my TGU seem a bit pedestrian. I hope others will share some of their non-TriGlide trikes with us. This is getting more funner!
