100_3423.jpgThis diamond plate box was built to fit the Harbor Freight trailer measuring 40x42 and the box is 16 inches high with 2 compartments with carpeting and led lights inside the boxes and underneth.I didn't like the little tires so I changed the spindles to 5x4.5 and that allowed me to go with a 15inch tire. The trailer pulls great even at 70 and 75 mph.

Jerry, I think you just found a second income stream. You should start taking orders, what a clean, looking unit, well done!! ThumbUp

So how much does it cost to build. Or better yet how much would you have to charge someone to build it. If you could make a kit that could be sent to some one and they could order their own HF trailer and install it.

Thanks John for your interest. I considered making the boxes for sale so you could just bolt them on your HF trailer. The biggest problem was trying to ship them all over the place. That was cost prohibitive, and not ever one could arrange pick up. As for the cost I finally got the price down to approximately $1100 to $1200 complete ready to bolt on your trailer. That would give you a complete unit cost of around $1300 to $1400. Most trailers of this quality and size run over $2200 to $2500
I guess this was just be another good idea that won't fly but it serves my purpose well.

I was thinking of shipping it in a box as flat pieces
and a person could build the box. Is it screwed or welded together ?
