Hannigan Kit - LEDs vs Incondecent Bulbs?

I just got a new Hannigan kit on my 07 Venture. For those that don't know, this kit comes with LED Tail Lights.
When I hooked up my Trailer last night, NONE of the Trailer Lights work. (VERY Unhappy). The Installer told me that when he did the conversion, all he did was to lengthen the wires that were already on my bike then tested the plug with a meter.
My question is about the LED circuit on the kit. Will I have to replace all of the lights on my Trailer to LEDs now? - I know with LEDs there isn't as much of a load so some resistors or ???? are involved. But, I know no more than that.

So you're saying same lengthened pigtail that worked previously is no longer working. It should still work. Did you check the fuse?

I checked Nothing yet. I did this later in the evening last night and was pretty perturbed. - I was assured that it would work fine. Thank goodness that I decided to hook it up before a trip just to make sure.

I emailed the dealer that installed my kit asking if he had an idea where to start. I don't even know about this fuse you mentioned. I thought maybe the combination of the two types of Lights might be the problem.

As a test try running an external ground wire from a bolt or something on your trailer tongue to a good ground under rear of trike. Then plug in trailer plug and see if they work.
Some trailers are wired to ground through the hitch and that is not always a good enough ground.
Was trailer attached to trike when you tested lights?
Just a suggestion.

sorry but your description is a bit vague. are the lights on the trike still ok after being disconnected from the trailer?
do you have access to a multimeter or a light tester?
if none of the trailer lights work at all then earth sounds the most likely issue as only the earth wire effects all the trailer light functions (every light needs an earth)
cscsonnys test would be a good starting point.

I spoke with the dealer that did the conversion for me and we decided that I will load my trailer into my P/U then I will ride my Trike to him followed by my wife in my Truck. There are a couple other issues yet to be resolved also, so he said to leave the Trike and Trailer with him and he will take care of all of the issues.

The way the world is today, I REALLY figured that since I wrote the payoff check, I was on my own. BUT, I recieved a Wonderful message from Hanigan with possible causes. But, they assured me that the dealer would take care of all of the Problems and that I won't have to. WOW!! I really didn't expect Hannigan to contact me. This is just another reason that Hanigan is tops in my book.

I obviously jumped the gun by bothering you folks with this. But as I said above, I was perturbed. Thanks for all of the ideas, but at this point I will leave it in the dealer's hands.
