GoPro

Hey Dennis, learned a valuable lesson about GoPro files.

Took 2 SD cards to Eureka Sprgs but mis-placed one. So shooting 'time lapse' sequences i ran out of space. I loaded the files via wifi to my iPad, formatted the card and continue shooting. Well, GoPro has a special sequencing/file structure of their 'time lapse' photos. That being said all the files (8400) I uploaded to iPad are unusable in a time lapse sequence. I can view them separately but not in a video. DUH !!!

I have not tried any time laps yet. I will have to read up before I try.

Had to ride 3 days with froze up left rear caliper. Very noisy. Still, TG did what it does best, just cruised.

just an impartial judgment because I don't do any camera action.

It looked pretty darn good to me!
I could tell your roads are nightmare but the picture was stable?

We have never been ones to take a lot of pictures on trips. This trip out to ride the Pacific Coast Highway, decided to do the go-pro thing. Got a lot of videos. I am starting to put them together. Have been very happy with go-pro results with it mounted as I have it. I have power hooked to TG and used the remote most of the time to start and stop camera.
Met up with a fellow forum member, Trent and his wife in Idaho, and rode over and down the coast with them. He took a lot of still pictures he is putting on a disc and sending to me. When I get them, I will do a day by day of our 6 days going down the coast and post. ( figure the go-pro clips with some still photos mixed in would be better than just watching roadside go by ) It was a great road trip except the boring road time getting there and back. Not one for interstate riding day after day but did not have enough time to do it all on two lanes this go around.
Will start posting some videos as I get them done.

I picked up a different program for editing. Called Power Director 12. Seems easy to use (for what I use it for). has a lot more things to use than I will use.

I still upload to Vimeo and set at 1080.

A sample with new software.

Any others with new stuff from a Go Pro?

Like the footage.

Have to give Power Direct a look. see it supports tie lapse.

Only thing I've picked up new is another black 3+, $140.00, just the camera, nothing else.

I guess what I am not understanding is, you are down loading to your computer. Then you edit on the computer ( what I do not understand ) Where do you down load it to and how do you get it on to Trike Talk ?

I download to computer and edit my footage into a video I want in edit software. Then I upload it to Vemio which is on the internet. People can go to Vemio and watch all kinds of videos people upload there. (like U-tube)
After it is uploaded to Vemio, it has some symbols on right side of video. A heart, a clock and one looks like an arrow. Click on the arrow to share video. One choice is embed. You copy that code and paste it here in your post and it shows up as that video in the post.
I think that is all????

Checked it out $60 a year is more than I am willing to pay just to share a video. Must say it looks better than what U Tube looks like after they mess it up.

John,
I did join to speed up uploading and more storage but I thought you did not have to pay for "basic" membership.

From what I read you can't share or use a portable device unless you join with full pro for $ 59.00 a year. Until then with basic you can only view. I might be reading it wrong. If I am check it out. I do like how clear the video is compared to what I get back to show on UTube.

Someone who uses U-Tube will have to respond on how to get HD on U Tube. Seems some have it and others do not and I know nothing about U Tube.
