gearing in a sportster kit

After taking the brides new trike for a ride it seems to be geared higher than when it woud have been a 2 wheeler.

Can anyone tell me, is the rear sproket reused in a Leaman kit? Or was it replaced in the kit with a different size to raise the gearing.

After take off you can cruise at over 10mph with no gas in 1st gear.

It just seems like it is moving too fast.

After my trike kit install I had the same problem so I swapped out the front pulley.
I went from a stock 29 tooth (1200 Sportster) to a 28 tooth from a Sportster 883.
It was an easy fix with great results.
