Anyone using a Fuel Stabilizer in their GL1800D?

All of the gasoline in our area has Ethanol; salesmen says I should use a Fuel Stabilizer when burning gas with Ethanol….True or False?

Thanks,

Jim

It isn't necessary unless you let the bike or the gas [In a container] sit too long, That said it can't hurt and if it makes you feel better use it.. ....But also remember some of those fuel treatments contain Ethanol..Dry gas especially....

I use stabilizer in my fuel every season that I have to put her away for more than a month ... LIKE the winter season...........

BUT everytime I'm going away on a very long bike trip, and I know I'll be using up a full tank of fuel in a day, I always add Fuel injector cleaner... I want my injectors to be totally clean...

There is no reason to use any additives in today's motors.

Use of fuel stabilizer is needed only for extended storage periods, such as winter.

Today's motors are built to use ethanol.

The person telling you to use stabilier just because you use ethanol gas is wrong.
