Man, if that Harley trike gets 55 mpg, don't ever sell it.

I don't believe 55mpg - period.
I ride like I stole it. I very rarely ride at the speed limit - the lowest I go is 5 over. On the highway it's usually flat out 80% of the time. I normally get 32 to 35 mpg. A few times doing 35 to 45 mph in the back woods I'll easily get 45 mpg. NEVER GOT ANY HIGHER.
40 to 45 MPH seems like the sweet spot for getting the most MPG.
Nope. Me neither.

Must be that new common core math.
I'm late to this rodeo, I know, but I wanted to say this pretty much sums up my situation as well. My mileage has never been 42, more like 37. Difference being there are a lot hills around me, and that drives down the mileage pretty badly, sometimes down into the mid 20s.With 2 up, I have got as good as 42 mpg and as low as 28mpg. Wind, speed, and elevation makes for a lot of changes. I just ride and when it needs fuel, I start looking for somewhere to fuel up. Jim
Excuses, excuses....Like I said previously there is a lot of fussy math going on ' And Not to be an "A" Hole 55 No way.. But it does make for interesting bander back and forth!igsfly: ....This post sent Via iPhone 🐿 And no alcohol

An easy way to track the fuel mileage for the 14 and new triglides is to use the navigation and then get a summary of the trip and it will spit it out for you. Jim Takes away the fuzzy math issues.

Don't remember what comes first, LO , or it counts backwards  5.5gal most I have put in. As far as MPGs, don't care. Didn't buy it for that. If I want MPGs, iluse the scooter at 70 MPGs :clapping:with 500cc.
This article from Hot Bike was shared on FB by the local HOG chapter. I figured this is topical since this thread included a post about shifting to 6th gear at 48 MPH.
