front wheel on backwards

has anyone found their tire mounted against the arrow on the tire??
we have just discovered that the salvaged stallion we bought has the tire on backwards.
we have the log book and it doesn't have any entries on front wheel work done else where.

hey bmad...my tire is a car tire on the Thoroughbred Stallion Trike right out of the factory.
It was in an accident here in Canada and we salvaged it.
It has never been off the bike since the factory, as far as the maintenance records say...V (",

I have a Honda Trike and I put a Michelin Pilot Activ tire on the front of mine backwards because you get 40,000 to 50,000 miles out of it that way. I ride with a lot of trikers that have done the same thing. It works great.

"V" The front wheel/tire on the out Stallion has the rotation arrow going in the correct direction. Just for a reference the valve stem on our Stallion is on the left side, in case the wheel/tire assembly was put on backwards somewhere along the line.

"t" the arrow is currently on the right and backwards. I tend to think now, that it was maybe done on purpose, as the trike came all the way from Kansas to British Columbia Canada on its' travels.
I will have to out to the garage tomorrow and look under the cover to see what side the valve stem is on....V

if you end up wanting to reverse the front wheel a write up is on the 2nd page of "Parts & Maintenance Reference" telling you what tools are needed.
to reverse the wheel remove the nuts and bolts for the shocks at the bottom only, remove the struts that go from the axle to the fork tubes, nuts and bolts at the fork tube.
remove the wheel then remove the cotter key and the nuts from both sides of the axle and loosen the pinch bolts on the struts and reverse the wheel and then re-install.

the little plastic hub caps, when you go to put them back on DO NOT TIGHTEN very tight as they are plastic and you will bust thru the end.

A little dab of blue loc tite is needed on those bolts that hold the plastic hub on. We have lost 2 of them.
