Front wheel bearings replaced today along with new front tire....friend in Northern Idaho says wheel bearings are under warranty? True statement? I'm on Extended Warranty now. And, rear brake pads replaced along with 30K service.

Don't know if they are covered but why would they need to be replaced at 30k is a question. They are a sealed bearing that is suppose to be good for around 100k. If they needed to be replaced they might be getting to much cleaner into that area or power washing?

these new 25mm bearings are junk. lots of reports of these going bad early. my front one went at 2452 miles. the old tapered timkin bearing would go 100,000 miles and you could service them when installing tires. harley should have left them alone.

How do you know when there is a problem? Got 38K on my '14 TG now, and notice a little different feel, almost a buzz at highway speed. Going to have the front tire replaced in about a week, so I may find out something then...

get the bike up in the air and hold your finger on the end of the axle while spinning the wheel. if they are bad you should feel a roughness in the end of the axle. only other way i know of is to remove the wheel and install the axle and shim in up so you can torque the alxe and then spin it.
