The Universal type mounts like you see used with the velorex and others. They have the block ,shim and stud. Every where you see them they sell them as an entire kit. I need a couple.
Not every sidecar is meant to stay on forever and welding is not always called for.
Now that my friends is road worthy I plan to experiment on mine . I have some ideas and those type mounts work for holding things in place while trying different Ideas.
His is ready I road it close to 100 miles yesterday cut across the farm with it solid . There is just no one around that does this type work anymore. Heck even in our farm area there are darn few welding shops left. When the old guy 15 miles form here dies we are in trouble . All the so called INDY bike shops want to do is sell some junk ape bars , loud pipes and a quick cam installs. Bolt on bad ass crap.

you mean the right?? it is the complete one???? i will see if i can find another eyebolt.. i should have a bunch.. but wanted to be sure its what u need before i go scrounging

Stacebg with a bit over 6,000 miles on the Hannigan now it has served well so far. Been an interesting and fun winter and cold wet spring. In 9 days the real test comes. Smoky Mountains.
Now that the Missing link bridge is open after 52 years we will ride it . Of course it is going down and up the Dragon. And other place in the area we enjoy riding.
If this weather keeps up it could be snowing when we leave WI.

Left Wisconsin early Thursday. Heavy traffic and plenty of accidents . 500 miles and hours late Arrived in Cincinnati OH. good night sleep up and on the road Friday. Again plenty of crashes to deal with. 350 mile ride to Gatlinburg TN . Check in and then ride the Park a bit.
Saturday full day of riding . Rode the New section of the Foot Hills Parkway and the Missing link bridge. Along with a ride to the south end of Deals gap and back. The Missing link bridge is well worth the ride.
The Rig did it's job well . Full day planned for tomorrow The New sidecar now has over 7,000 miles on it.

When you come around a corner on a narrow one lane trail and meet a Black bear almost nose to nose. And she makes it clear you are not welcome. You will say putting a reverse in was a good investment. Then as you are backing up the cubs expose them self. You back up some more and take a few pictures at a safer distance. Yes the reverse came in real handy today.

Update on the project. 9,700 miles on the rig as of yesterday. The change to a car tire on the bike rear was a good move, handles great and with 5,300 miles on the tire it still looks new.
The Hannigan Twin classic has been flawless and met all our needs. Other than the tire change and adding reverse no additional costs to the rig.
A 3,000 mile trip two up and loaded involving some hard Mountain riding was nothing but fun and a pleasure with it. The snap on covert-able top has proven to be water tight even in some hard rain. The EEC has shown it was worth the cost to added it to the sidecar. No doubt this is a big rig. Harley RGU and a twin classic. My choice on doing the front end was a HD trike setup.
My plan was I wanted to ride the bike with or with out the sidecar. The idea worked great but require explaining the results. The bike without the sidecar handles prefect in all riding conditions. It does have a 4 inch longer wheel base. So takes a little more to turn it around. With sidecar it steers well at normal riding speeds on normal roads. If you are at Speed limit it steers well. When you start pushing it hard in tight hair pin turns , aggressive riding the steering is a bit stiffer but nothing I can not handle. Riding it hard never pushed me to a point I felt it was not with in my limits or the bikes.
The they say crowd out there, said my 107 M8 engine would not pull the car. They are so wrong and uninformed. It will run at highway speeds anywhere and roll on the throttle you will get moving fast. We were in traffic at highway speeds of 70-85 mph for long distance and had no problems with power. I have had it to 105 Mph.
They say crowd, said you would get tired of it and it would sit. Wrong it is so much fun I am not taking it off the RGU. I have other bikes to ride if I want two wheels.
Wife made it clear that she was riding on the bike with me not in the sidecar. Well she has changed that . She rode 90% of this trip in the sidecar and loved it.
So can wife ride on the bike with the sidecar. Yes, Hannigan made the mounts so it works. It does handle different when she does at highway speeds. Best advice is to Transfer bags from bike to the sidecar when you ride two up on the bike.
