flrt running lights

I will be adding the kuryakyn running lights with turn signals so I can use their fork mounted air deflector.
That will solve me problem easy enough.
I am not very patient waiting on company's that Might make something.
I will make a post later on. I found the lights I want finally. Prices has gone out of sight.
I will be using these

I like em because the lights are small, don't like the 4.5 inch lights, they look out of place to me.
Harley Davidson thinks too much of theirs. $449 with out bulbs and enclosure, no thanks.
$319 is much better.

Hello. I followed your link to the lights but they say they don't fit the freewheeler.

Very interesting! Those look like they might work with the new style fangs from H-D which are really nice.

The bolting pattern on the flrt has the same pattern that the 2 wheeler's have. The biggest difference between a standard Road king and a flrt is the turn signal location and the raised chrome mounting covers. The bike one is straight, vertical, the flrt is angled that is why it has the raised chrome cover, it makes it vertical.
The light bar will fit after I remove the signals but there will be a small recess at the end, The mounting plate for the lights may cover enough of it so it can't be seen. Then you can add the fork mounted air deflectors.
I did a lot of research on the bolts, quick windshield mounts etc....
When I retired from the military I got bored and went to school until they said I couldn't go. I got 10 years in though. LOL
Next week I will be adding them. Take that long to get em.

I can't remember who posted a photo of their flrt with a light bar. A HD shop did it for them. From what I have found is that most things that fit a road king will fit a flrt. May be some changes for it to fit correctly but they will work. The front half is a road king and the rear half is a trike.

The RK light bar does not fit the FLRT - mods to the lower connection points and to the light pedistals would be required. And the FLRT front necklace is NOT the same as the one used on the RK - headlight sets different. and that creates an issue with using the RK light bar with a FLRT windshield as well.

But, if you find that picture, please also post the source for contacting the owner, I have a whole lot of questions. See I had the dealer try it when I bought my FLRT and encountered the above in the effort.

Springman,

Page 1 post #6 of this thread might be what you are looking for.....

Red,

I seen those. They do not have the turns. The turn signals is what has to be relocated. I found the set i need but I have to use a adapter to use the billet turns. Thats okay , it should work though.

I didnt get a pm.

Not sure why the PM did not go???

I tried a 2015 RK lightbar on my 2015 FLRT and it did not fit - lower mount holes seem to not line up and the 4.5 lights seem to bump into the necklace and headlight. Plus the turn signal mounting issue. So, is the lightbar in the photo a stock RK light bar?

Running lights

I had a vendor install an LED combo running/turn signal "insert" in my turn signals. Works great. There is a ring of very bright LEDs that are on normally, When the turn signal is on the running light on that side goes out, replaced by the brighr amber turn signal inside the ring. Best feature is the price. Both are 'plug & play'.

Called "Dynamic Rings". Also had him install their LED headlamp bulb that gives a brighter whiter light. Plan to do the trike's tail lights next plus the wife's sporty.

This is what I have also and They are Great, very bright and can be seen down the road. ThumbUp

Dynamic Rings

I installed the Dynamic Rings yesterday and they are great! I didn't want to add a light bar, relocate the turn signals, etc. These are just what I needed and the price is right. I am glad the info on these was posted!

Who did you order yours from Sunman? I've been looking on the Custom Dynamics site and can not figure out how to order them.

HD Part Number 68000051

I was talking to a HD dealer and was told that the Auxiliary Light Kit - HD Part Number 68000051 will fit a 2015-2016 FLRT Freewheeler.

But, I note HD does not list it in their part fitment selection.

Anyone have experience or can confirm?

Thanks,

Springman

Not sure about the part number you mentioned, but you would have to relocate your turn signals. I got a set of running lights from a late model Road King off ebay, bolted right up, did not move my turn signals. I could probably find the part number if you want, have pics of my setup too!!
