Some of you may know that there was a fire at the Hannigan Motorsoprts yesterday.
First and foremost there were NO Injuries to any personnel,,,
Here is the latest: I will edit or add to as info is released
An Official - Unofficial Update:
The fire was contained to one building, which was the fiberglass/paint, and machine shop. Once again there were no injuries to personal. There is a loss of about 60 to 65 % of the product molds. The paint, and layup rooms are a total loss. It is suspected that it started in the fiberglass layup room by spontaneous combustion of material in a disposal bin ( AKA Trash can ) Fire investigation teams are in the process now, by highly trained investigators, from several agencies local ,and state. I was told that though an inconvenience now the Hannigan Team is in full swing to rebuild, and begin full production in as little as 60 days (two months) This is a preliminary report for returning to full swing production at this time. Good news is that there was work being done on some of the most popular molds that were not in the area of the fire, and were spared damage, GL1800 &1500 as well as Yamaha was mentioned.
This is still very early in the assessment stage, and just the preliminary assessment of return and recovery.
Patience with the team at Hannigan for product information, and ordering will be greatly appreciated.
I feel that they will be back into full operation before we know it, and better, and stronger. These guys are led by the best, and strongest man and woman I have ever met. I have no worries about recovery.
An Official announcement/ News release; will be forth coming in a day or two, with complete assessment, and plans for continuation. Until that time: It was an unfortunate accident that occurred, with a bright side, and they will come through it stronger, and better. The bright side is material can be replaced, but life is precious, and irreplaceable, and that in itself is the biggest blessing from the incident.
Our Prayers are with Dave & Ruth Ann, John, Jim, Andrew, Brad, and all of the team there.
