This happened local here. For whatever reason this guy leaves his motor running while filling up with gas. Well, he's not paying attention and it over flows and the exhaust starts the fire. A bystander was screaming at him about the gas, but he had his radio turned up loud. The guy was on fire, and same guy that tried to warn him used his own shirt to put out the fire out on the guy. He's still in the hospital. Why would you leave your motor running while fueling

I had a 68 Charger with a worked 440... It used so much Gas if i left it running i could never fill the tank:D But getting back to the biker;; Whats the sense of being stupid if you don't show it every now and then!..

I guess he was trying to be cool and impress everyone with his bad stereo and bike. Let's all learn from his mistake. We take fueling our bikes as being routine, but it can be dangerous if you don't pay attention. That hot exhaust is right there below the fill area.

VERY Impressive

The cool guy has the hottest bike in town, and now will have some knarly scars
Chicks dig scars.

Kudos to the person who saved the cool guys life.

It can't be avoided, but I really don't like refueling when I'm on the road for this very reason. There is a very hot engine right under the fill tube and tank. But I darn sure don't leave it run or even put the ignition switch on accessory just so I can hear my tunes. I can take a 5 minute break from that.

I wonder if he had a failing battery so wanted to keep it running because he knew it wouldn't start. It darn sure isn't going to start now either dude. I have to admit, I like the comment above, "what's the use of being stupid if you can't show it once in awhile". Or something like that. That just about sums it up here.:)

You can't fix stupid but you sure can burn it obviously.:D
