Fairing Lowers

I have seen a couple of Freewheelers with fairing lowers. Does you have to buy the 2014 and new fairing lowers, or will the older design work as well. Need some leg protection for long rides.

Either set will work as there isn't any difference in the engine guard. I used the 2014 and up. I did not put the gates in that would close off the opening. Hindsight being perfect I would have used the older style as they allow more are to pass along the side of the V-Twin.

I found these on the web. Does any one have any experience with their lowers?
