fairing lower doors

Just curious if there is a way to make the fairing lower doors on 16+ functional storage? Thought I saw something but can't recover it. I'm particularly interested in a cupholder for the left side. Any info/guidance is appreciated. Thx.

These pockets pouches are out of stock 'till July 2018.........However, J&P Cycles has 46 pr. in stock as of yesterday (free shipping for the next 2 days too)

I have a 2010 and I store riding glove in one side, and rain covers for the bike in the other.
