Perhaps my hearing is improving but that's not likely at 67...

My 2017 Tri Glide with stock exhaust seems to be getting louder. Quite a bit louder.

I have almost 6K miles on it and it was very (for a HD) quiet when new. I wanted to put Thundersticks on it but my wife liked it the way it was. After coming off a Spyder, she thought it was loud enough.

It doesn't have any exhaust leak. It's just louder. Several friends mentioned it too and we all agree it sounds better (except the wife).

Anyone else experience this on theirs?

The fiberglass in the baffling is setting in. Some more then others change tone as they wear in.

Normal progression as the pipes loosen up a bit from heat expansion. And as you get use to the Trike you'll tend to gas it a little more...[Use higher rpm's]

My Wife tells me as i get older i'm getting a little louder also...:D

My 17Freewheeler is louder than my 15 was

Yesterday I see the mufflers look the same but are different part numbers

So, I am curious

The 15 mufflers had more packing in them = quieter on the 15, louder on my 17

I took ALL the packing out of my stock mufflers

Not an easy job pulling it out

It is NOT much louder than stock, but runs about 25 degrees cooler

I opened up the center of the baffle also
